This a terrific little bar and restaurant situated in the picturesque surroundings of Port Bannatyne on the beautiful Isle of Bute.
The staff are terrific, a warm welcome is assured. The menu has excellent choices all reasonably priced, the food is freshly cooked and delicious, with the Fish Pie the star attraction and unsurpassed in my experience.
Top marks to all involved, a great advert for local hospitality and quality.

1st time back after a 2yr lapse. Staff behind the bar were very friendly, a great range of beers and Gin.
The food was great value, simple, plentiful and local.
The locals were very friendly and engaging too which made the whole evening that bit better.

My brother in law and I were on the island to visit family and popped in for a quick pint, the barmaid was great chatty fun and interested in what we were doing, the gin at £2 for the special was something we’d heard about but went for a more manly pint.

There is a limited amount of places to go on the island and even less in Port Bannatyne so a nice bar with good food and drink and lovely staff it was also showing the World Cup on a big screen so even better. ✅

The menu wasn't up to much for me as I'm vegan. Everyone else was satisfied though.Dog friendly beer garden and lovely chickens up in the back of the garden. Service was very good.

Although apparantly not open for food on a Wed -we were able to book a special birthday meal to celebrate a 99th birthday -room was set up complete with balloons and birthday banners-lunch was great and menu had something for everyone -portions very generous -staff attentive and helpful -incredibly patient given the older age range -would happily return for a repeat visit

Thank you for your kind words Alison. We had a lovely day yesterday and John is an absolute star. We were all so touched at his speech after his cake and candles. We are so pleased you chose to share the birthday celebrations with us. See you soon. Rhona and David.
