This is a very big production. Overall a good experience. Aspects I liked: the show itself was quite impressive. We are from NYC and are used to Broadway shows and this had great sets, props, costumes, lighting, effects etc. The buffet was also decent and had varied options. The brief fountain show was also pretty. Things I did not like: Number 1 thing we don't appreciate is the use of live animals. We don't believe they are a necessary part of any show. It is especially sad to see the elephants forced to perform for humans as entertainment. Pay attention and you will see their mahouts (handlers) abusing them in order for the animals to cooperate. FYI, if you want to see elephants in Phuket, please check out Phuket Elephant Sanctuary, the only truly ethical one currently in the area. The entire evening was also too long, around 4 hours plus round trip hotel transfer. The gift shops are way overpriced. It's geared towards a variety of tourists and therefore can be quite gimmicky. We would have enjoyed it much more if it were just dinner and the show, and less "fluff" pre-show.
