Great show but "not overdone" beautiful choreography and something to see everywhere you looked. Food was surprisingly great (expectations where low as these buffets are of lacklustre) but it was surprising tasty and even the shopping was well priced for clothing and souvenirs. Worth arriving early to wander the village and watch the pre show entertainment. All in all a great experience

This is a theatrical display of the early cultures of Thailand.
As I had seen the Fantasea equivalent twice I decided with my wife to see this show. If this is your first visit to Phuket I would recommend Fantasea a more lavish venue and a more spectacular performance but if you return again to Phuket then see this show as I was not disappointed and had very enjoyable evening.
Best seating is platinum which is center and back from the gold and silver front rows. If you get the gold and silver front rows you miss on performances which happen to the rear and also above of these rows. Nothing like elephants passing if front of you.
Before the show starts there is some outside entertainment, such as Thai boxing, elephants, dancing and water light show. Some involve participation of the guests.
You can purchase tickets almost everywhere in Patong (where I stayed) and I would recommend Platinum seating with meal and transportation. Prices do vary with tourist seasons and can be almost half price to what is advertised. If you have a group it may be worth while to hire a private taxi as at the end you can have photo shoots with the performers which could not be done easily when you have other strangers sharing a taxi van.
The photos I have included are of the outside entertainment as photos and videoing are strictly forbidden of the show.

I booked the tour from the hotel, the package include a private car and dinner.
It was not too far from the hotel in Phuket old town and the ride took us 20 minutes. We had a simple nice buffet mix of Thai, Asian, Italian dishes in a big hall. We then visited the attractions including muay Thai show, elephant show and Thai villages. By 8.30pm everyone is ushered to the main hall for the big show. Sadly we can't take photos. It was very informative, about the journey of the Thai kingdom. Good effort.
