We enjoyed staying local while in Phuket. The hotel was livable and reasonable for our long stay in Phuket. It was nice having the American Breakfast every day. The staff and locals were friendly. Internet was a bit over-priced at 30 baht for 30 min, when it's 20 baht for 1 hr right around the corner. It's no frills and if you don't mind smoking clients in the hallway, it's a good place to stay central.

Ideal for solo travellers. Walking distance to Ocean Plaza, Robinson, and sontew bus station. My room charge was THB800, value for money hotel. Hot shower available, housekiiping service provided daily, hot shower, aircon....budget accommodation, no complaints. Well-known kaomangai (chicken rice) shop on 100m away. Easy to take motorcy (motor bike taxi) but be careful to use at night. Unlike Patong beach, night time is very quiet.

Good hotel, nothing to complain about. The only thing that left a bad taste in our mouths was the "travel agency" of the hotel. Do not use it if you don't have to. They will rip you off! Which you are probably used to in Thailand anyway but you would expect a hotel to be a bit more honest to their guests....

We stayed here for one night because we missed the boat to Kho Phi Phi. The room was clean, but gave us a very gross feeling. The blanket has probably been there since 1949 and when we asked for a different one they wanted to charge us. The hotel was cheap, so I can't complain too much, but it was pretty gross. The bathroom really needed so updating. It smelled really bad. Thankfully the sheets appeared clean. It was close to some stores and a theatre, but not really what you expect when you go to Phuket. I wouldn't recommend this hotel and certainly not this location if you plan to stay for more than one night.

We went there at the end of Jan 2010. We booked a room with single king size bed for BHT 950, included breakfast. We stayed there for 3 nights. The hotel offered airport pick up for 500 BHT, but we did not take the offer. We took the airport bus instead; it only costs 85 BHT per person. The bus stops at the bus terminal, around 15-20 walk to the hotel. Crystal Inn hotel situated near Metropole Hotel.

Crystal Inn hotel is located near 2 shopping malls: Robinson and Ocean Mall, and a big wet market. At night, the market hosts a lot of stalls that sells variety of local dishes. The price is cheap and enjoyable local atmosphere. The hotel is around 20 minutes walk to the bus terminal to the beaches (e.g. Patong, Kata, etc). The bus terminal to the beaches is different from the bus terminal of the airport bus.

The hotel itself looks good from outside, although at night the surrounding is quite dim. But, it's quite safe. We arrived there around 10 pm. The receptionists speak English. The room is very clean, clean bed sheets and towels. It has simple furniture, quite old, but nice arrangement; there are AC, table, TV, fridge, complementary drinking water. The bathroom is clean, plenty hot water at anytime with good pressure. The wash basin looked old.

The breakfast is good, at 7 - 10 am. It also has an internet cafe with cheap rate, 50 BHT per hour. We did not try it though. Overall, we are satisfied with the hotel.
