We've been coming to Nai Yang for 7 years and we can honestly say some of our happiest memories of Nai Yang beach have been sat at a table at Phen's eating a wonderful dinner while watching the sun sink into the sea, listening to a fabulous country and western covers CD (think John Denver, Glenn Campbell and Bob Seeger.) Still delivering the same great food and value in its new location following the military cleanup it is now a 3 minute walk as you turn right out of Indigo Pearl. You can still eat with your toes in the sand if you like that (we don't) or you can sit up on the open-sided, covered concrete section.

It's an extremely well-run restaurant with many attentive and friendly staff. The menu is huge, we ate here 7 nights out of an 8 night stay and there is still so much more we haven't tried...my husband really loved the pork fried with chili and basil, the egg fried rice, deep fried prawns, the chicken satay and the club sandwich. I love the som tam, the glass noodle salad, rice noodle with vegetables, the green curry with prawns, the mango with sticky rice. We've never had a bad meal there.

I am gluten intolerant and showed my translation card to one of the more senior waiters and also to the owner and the staff always made sure one of them took my order. They would always advise whether a dish was ok for me and come back and ask if I could have certain ingredients. I didn't get sick once despite trying a range of dishes. Tip: it's not hard at all to eat gluten free if you choose Thai food. Tell them - no soya sauce, no oyster sauce, no yellow noodle, no deep-fried. That pretty much covers everything that could make you sick.

Thanks for the memories and see you again next May - from Deb & Tony at table 7.

Good local food at decent prices. Shrimp cakes were delicious.

Set right on the beach and only 10 mins from the airport.

We actually took a detour on our last day so we could eat there again.

Great restaurant, awesome food at great prices, and the staff are very diligent. You can either dine at tables on the beach, or undercover on solid ground.

We visited here on an overnight stop over before our flight. The menu is massive and the food could not be faulted. Slightly more expense than what we were use to in Ao Nang, however I can not compare with other places in the area.
Great food, worth a visit.
