We drove from Nottingham and were surprised at the £5 entry charge. My wife chose the park due to the play area. However, on arrival the play area is a further £2 charge
BUT, BUT the play area is Locked with a 10 foot gate barring entry, Why?
It turns out it is CLOSED for the winter. This is completely ridiculous!
Whoever, is in charge of leisure services at Rotherham council needs their head examined, pardon me I should say; listen to some common sense please.
In addition the place was grotty considering the charge to get in one would think that it would be in a better state of repair , litter was obvious both in and out of the water. The path by the lake was in poor repair with lots of mud evident. The cafe was OK but the door was propped open and on a cold winters day this was drafty!, I suspect the staff were too hot when frying chips!
