We stayed at Blue poppy Resort auli during third week of February . It’s an ideal Location, 500 meters from ski place with beautiful view of the Himalayan range . Nice room Great Hospitality and we loved the food . Best so far we had in and around Auli. I would recommend this hotel for sure.

Place of horror if you're coming in winters to enjoy the snow.. enjoyment will turn into a hellish experience.. the rooms, called deluxe ironically, have hardly any room.. with your luggage you're cramped for movement. No running hot water, that's understandable but all you get is one bucket of hot water in the morning. If you can survive on it, good luck.
The room is not temperature controlled, all they have is old style heating rods, that don't warm it up and also will suffocate you. They don't even have blowers, the walls have cracks so your can enjoy the freezing cold breeze in the night. Power goes often, so you're left at mercy of nature to stay warm. When there's snowfall, it's beautiful place but the housekeeping staff doesn't clean the snow, and you'll experience slippery slope and fall quite often, and very hard one at that.

The water heater jug is there but it's all scaled inside so your water isn't going to be pure of you heat it up.

On a positive note, the view is excellent from the rooms, and food is good but all vegetarian, you won't even get eggs here. Coffee and tea are horrible.. Just drink hot water instead and bring your own teabags.

You'll definitely have an experience that you won't forget for life, not something memorable though. Try a better property with better facilities, better instead stay in Joshimath.
