We had a lovely time at The Bothy. It’s such a great location away from it all, with the river right on the doorstep

“Simply idyllic!”
Reviewed 20 February 2018 for a stay in February 2018

The Bothy was booked as a birthday treat for me by my partner and he honestly couldn't have chosen anywhere better. Being from a large city, The Bothy really does offer a true 'get away from it all' experience. It's impeccably decorated and, kitchen wise, is brimming with lots of unexpected extras which were most welcome as we had brought our own food for the evenings. Snug, cosy and perfectly romantic, I would love to go back in the summer. If I could offer one tiny bit of a suggestion, it would be for them to replace the sofa with a larger cosier one - for such a romantic cottage, it would have been perfect to be able to snuggle up together with a glass of wine after enjoying such blissful days - instead, we were kind of 'perched' on the beautiful, but very small, sofa. Juliette and Francis were very welcoming and I would highly recommend The Bothy. I'd also highly recommend lunch at the nearby Asgarth Falls Hotel - lovely friendly staff and beautiful food.

Fabulous peaceful accommodation in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. Very comfortable and well appointed accommodation and decorated to a high standard. Juliet very welcoming and informative about the area. Ideal location with plenty of places to visit. Brilliant walking holiday, We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the Bothy and would highly recommend it.

“A Fabulous Hide-a-way”
Reviewed 5 September 2017 for a stay in August 2017

The Bothy is hidden away, off the road to Aysgarth, in a secluded spot. And Juliet the owner, does anything possible to enhance or improve your stay - with recommendations thrown-in. You just need to accept that the phone signal in the Dales, is a little bit on the unreliable and weak side! But, otherwise our stay was entirely comfortable and the surrounding stunning countryside offers plenty to see, with lots of walking routes.

We had a lovely weekend and couldn't have been happier with the location or accommodation. We walked along the river over the stepping stones and around the area, taking in Bolton Castle, charming local pubs and Asgarth Falls. Highly recommended.
NB take milk, coffee etc and things for the fridge!
