In the name of scuba diving, snorkeling, dolphin watch, the ride to the islands is a complete scam. The trip started with a clanky boat promising wonderful experience. What we get in return is a dive in the middle of the ocean - un clear water that you can't even see your feet. How one can snorkel, if you have a jacket around you. There is no beach, no blue sea - all you get is a hot sun and fuel smelling water. On top of it, there are people who are completely drunk and throwup.
The govt should not allow such scam operators take away otherwise a nice goan experience. We wasted 7k and the entire day
It's a trap don't fall into it . Agent will try to lure you by saying that there will be scuba diving , fishing free liquor etc etc but beware don't believe them it was a waste of time . There is nothing to see no scuba diving they don't know even what does it mean . Food was without taste . So if you want to turn into monkey from human you can go for it .
Took around an hour to reach to this place from COCO beach. In between they showed us Dolphins as well. Then snorkelling & swim near the beach. Then to a small beach for Lunch. Every single boat trips comes here only was a big mess, improper management, long queue for food, low quality foods etc.
Totally waste of money as they dump people like sheep/
"Must in Goa", "If you have not done island trip then Goa visit is incomplete", "Great experience and great memories", "Spot Dolphins", "Snorkeling"......you will hear such phrases from boat operators, tour operators and travel companies in Goa. We heard the same and got fleeced for ~ Rs 1500 per person. In addition to getting ripped off we lost out on 3/4th of our day. We were a group of 15 and were supposed to be traveling in a private boat but once you reach the boarding point, it is like a refugee site and people are dumped inside boats. Complimentary breakfast was samosa (Dry Indian snack) which was certainly not fresh. For name sake, they did manage to show us few dolphins and after about an hour of boat journey you reach a small piece of shore (certainly not an island) which was filthy and crowded. About 25 boats came there and in no time the location seemed like relief camp. Food was awful, sun was beating (they just erect temporary tents), one must even rent mats to sit down under the tents, massive crowd, beer was as good as unlimited (which is not bad) but if you are on a family vacation then it isn't fun. There aren't rest rooms either and so women fold faced severe problems. Stay away from this tour and I wish to share this with Government of Goa as we observed that travel operators seem to be destroying the nature around with empty bottles, trash. etc.
In case the tour operator does mention about food being provided, and stopping over at Monkey Beach for lunch etc as part of any other sight seeing plan... be extremely cautious in agreeing to the same. The place reeks of filth and the wafts of rotten & burnt meat is nauseous. The disorganized place shared by various operators is not a pleasant experience. Best avoided. If adventurous, avoid elders and very young and go prepared with something to munch.
The beach is good, bu not all maintained well. If the authorities have to be successful in developing the beach resort, it should be maintained clean. Cleanliness was pathetically mising
