The show was really entertaining (2 people), a great kitchen party! The little village was also very interesting, although partially closed. The lunch was not so good, although I guess it was meant to be authentic. Good shop.

It was a beautiful Fall day late in the season so not too many visitors but we had a great visit. Great storytellers and bakers! Time to talk with the staff/presenters and all were very pleasant and obliging. It is a lovely spot with great facilities and well worth the visit.

We've been here a few times, our 1st time was a few years ago and we enjoyed it, a good day of Acadian History and Comedy Sketches and Music. On This years visit they seem to have changed the food menu in the canteen/take-out.. a lot less offerings they ran out of food a few times and slow service.. we we're disappointed wasn't the same as our other visits.. hopefully this is not the beginning of a decline ,as for the rest of the venue good place to spend a day.

A beautiful setting for a wonderful story of a saint and a bootlegger.
The setting starts with a boardwalk over the water which leads
to a security person which guards the walkway.
Once you cross the boardwalk you arrive at the bakery which has wonderful scents while the baker is baking there are customers sitting at tables playing cards and this is where the story starts as you enjoy warm bread with molasses.
The next homes are the ladies in the story which are furnished as they would of been in the early 1800's from the wash bucket to the pedal sewing machine.
The tellers of the story are dressed in style and deliver the story as if you are really in that time period....so relax and enjoy.
There are two stages, one for music and the other for plays, unfortunately they had not started while I was visiting.
Well worth the visit.

As it was mid June this attraction was not normally open to the public but welcomed our pre-booked tour group of 32 and gave us the background to the Acadians and their style of life.

We had an interesting meal in the Acadian style followed by a glass of their special spirits and entertainment when we had the opportunity to learn to play the wooden spoons.

The actors were totally believable and great entertainers. An experience not to be missed.
