Casa Teulada 2 is a lovely, clean and well equipped self catering apartment in a beautiful part of Sardinia. The lease holder and the family that look after the apartment in their absence are both extremely helpful even at very short notice. The family even provided some hand picked flowers for us on our second day. The town of Teulada is not particularly touristy, which is great if you like that sort of thing. There are some great places to get food and try the Terrazza bar next to the river for food and drink - their pizzas are amazing! On the Friday night they even had a live band. The nearest beach - Tramatzu is absolutely stunning with only a handful of people on it at the hottest times. Be prepared though as there are no toilets or shops nearby so you will need to take everything with you! Overall would definitely recommend this apartment and def hire a car as you will need it to make the most of all the beaches nearby.
My husband and I recently stayed at the Casa Teulada 2 apartment and had a wonderful holiday. The apartment is spacious and the photos on the website are accurate in conveying the rustic and stylish ambience that the owners have created. The accommodation was very comfortable and the booking and check in process went smoothly.
The amenities listed were accurate and everything was clean and of good quality.
The caretaker was very helpful (speaking Italian would be a bonus - her English is very limited) and all we had to do was go to the beach, decide what to buy to cook for dinner (the BBQ area is a great asset) and work on our tans (we had travelled from an Australian winter!)
The weekly market was a great location to stock up on provisions and the communal market has a great fish stall that has fresh fish on Tuesdays. If you don't feel like cooking, then there are a few restaurants in the town of Teulada for dinner. For lunches we recommend travelling to any of the beach side locations for a variety of restaurants at these - lunch at Trattoria da Gianni (Porto Budello) was great.
Another unique characteristic of the setting, is that there are also two other apartments as part of the complex, so that at any given time you might have other travelling neighbours.
We met a great couple from the US and had dinner with them on our final night (we cooked up a storm on the BBQ and ate alfresco) It all added to our enjoyment - it was a great way to meet fellow travellers.
The town of Teulada is well located for access to the southern beaches of Sardinia. A car is necessary, as this part of the island is less touristy and it would be difficult to travel around without a car.
A visit to Pula and the excavations at Nora are recommended - especially if you want to have some retail therapy at Pula.
Travelling north, it is a comfortable drive to the island of Sant Antioco as a day trip, lunch at Calasetta at Trattoria Pasqualino was delicious.
All the beaches are great, our favourite being along the Chia coastline - the views are spectacular.
If you have the time, rent a motorised rubber dinghy and go out onto the sea, a great way to have another perspective on this wonderful coastline.
We would thoroughly recommend Casa Teulada 2 to our friends, even though it is a long way for us to travel to Sardinia.
