Chapel 5 Palazzo Suites B&B

We recently spent 10 days at this lovely B&B and enjoyed every minute of our stay there. The rooms were beautiful and clean and the owners malcolm and Alex were accomidating, helpful and charming. We enjoyed that the town was centrally located to every place on the Island and much quieter then being at a resort on the beach. Didn't spend much time next to the loevly pool or on the rooftop terrace but both were very nice places to rest and relax if you so desired. Breakfast was lovely and simple and a nice way to catch up with or get recommendations from other guests on things to do. Malta was a lovely place for a holiday and this B&B was just as lovely hope to get back to both some day, and I would certainly recommend both to friends.

For the most part, I can only agree with what the others have been saying.
- Malcolm and Alex (as well as Malcolm’s lovely mum) have created a truly charming B&B
- All rooms are tastefully decorated and equipped
- The pictures on the website don’t lie, this is precisely what it looks like
- Malcolm and Alex have a wealth of knowledge when it comes to suggestions for days out, evenings out, restaurants, trips and fun things to do all over the island. They are helpful and bend over backwards to accommodate you
- Breakfast is basic but tasty and accompanied by delicious fresh fruit, toast, muesli and the welcoming smile of either Malcolm, Alex or Malcolm’s mum
- We found Naxxar to be the perfect alternative to any of the resorts, quiet and comfortable, yet with good connections to the busier areas and sights – absolutely wonderful for anyone who prefers the homey atmosphere of a B&B to a huge hotel but doesn’t want to skip on the luxurious feeling and facilities of a hotel
- The pool is small but wonderful for taking a dip during the lunch-time heat (it does get sun during these hours too)
- Towels are changed every other day and spare towels for the pool/beach were provided instantly on request
- Rooms were cleaned daily and extra consideration was taken to do this at the guests convenience
- Two Wifi networks, one for the ground floor and one for the first floor – never had any issues with it
- Perfect for a romantic couple getaway
All in all, we could not have imagined a better place to stay on our weeklong stay and will surely be recommending this place to absolutely everyone! If we return to Malta, there would be nowhere I would rather stay!

Room Tip: Book early to avoid disappointment.

With my friend, we stayed one week at Chapel 5 Palazzio. The first day, we were taken with the smile at the airport whether it was very late (11h00 pm). We were then able to discover the charming bed and breakfast: a mix of old Indian stones (which protect from the heat) and of modern comfort (air conditioning, swimming pool). The hosts are charming, not avaricious of their enlightened advice and it reigns as an atmosphere of Spanish inn in the household, with guests resulting from one thousand and some places. The city, Naxxar, is near all the strategic places and it is easy to shine on the island by taking the bus, situated near the house. Even there, Malcolm, Alex or Antoinette will always explain you which bus to take.
In fact, we were conquered, as far as the price remains modest and it is already acquired that we shall return next year. Do not hesitate, get in touch with Malcolm, you will not regret it.

Alley 5 begins to suggest a unique B&B before you even find the double blue doors set in a brilliant whitewashed wall. Malcolm or Alex open the doors and you are introduced to a lovingly and imaginatively restored Maltese home. Angles confuse and delight. Overlooking the long breakfast table from high balconies allows a sense of light and space, while ducking through shady doorways to reach the swimming pool gives a feeling of protection from the bright sunshine outside.

We had an amazing time staying in the Chapel 5 Palazzo Suites in Nazzar, Malta.

Naxxar is an old historic town about 15 minutes from the coast, set in a great location to tour everything the island has to offer. We bumped into our hosts Malcolm and Alex in the local cafe co-incidently when they were having lunch and we were asking the waiter for directions. Which was funny and a synchronistic beginning of what was a wonderful experience as they finished up their lunch and walked with us to Chapel 5.

Chapel 5 is situated in a beautiful period building down little lanes filled with pot plants. The B & B is stylisly decorated throughout mostly eastern furniture that they import from Bali. Our en-suite room was very comfortable, tasteful with a boutique hotel look & feel.

Breakfast every day was a real experience sitting at a large table with all the guests from all parts of europe as we shared our stories of where we'd visited and what we were up to that day. Malcolm or his lovely mother Antoinette served a whole spread of breakfast foods. Both of them are funny, charming and incredibly helpful with hints and tips of where to go, where to eat and what to see that only the locals in the know know.

They have a courtyard pool which we hastily jumped into after our long and hot journey mid summer from the airport and most days we had a dip to take the edge off the 40 degree heat.

We would highly recommend Chapel 5 a boutique experience at B & B prices but what made this stay most special was owners Malcolm and Alex and his mum Antoinette. We felt like guests in their home and were treated like good friends.

If you stay here you should check out the beautiful Palazzo Parisio gardens http://www.palazzoparisio.com/ just around the corner from Chapel 5 and try a pea or goats cheese pastizzis from the local pastizzeri on the right near the church. Just 30c each and delicious just not good for the waistline!
