This has got to be one of the oldest Premier Inns in the country. Very, very dated with all the doors facing out to a courtyard, no inside corridor. The rooms are very clean, just as you would expect, tv in our room was so far away from the bed and so small, you couldn't watch much on it. The only redeeming thing about this place is the reception staff, who were so helpful and friendly.

You know what you are getting with Premier Inn, a clean room and a comfortable bed. We weren't disappointed. The room was big enough for what we wanted, the bed was comfortable and the hotel is in a quiet location, no disturbances.

We had booked a room for the Friday and Saturday night as we were going to a concert not to far away.We were really surprised at the layout of the building similar to holiday chalets really, not at all like a premier inn.The doors of the rooms seem to bang when you shut them and we were woken on the first night by other guests coming in after us and doors slamming. Our room although was clean was certainly not up to Premier standards at all the other hotels we have stayed at, it could certainly do with decorating to bring it in line with the other Premiers ,also the walls and ceilings need soundproofing as you can clearly hear other guests next door and above. The staff were very helpful as always. The pub next door where we had breakfast was also very dated and also needs a revamp.Saying this the breakfast itself was excellent as was the lady who served us who couldn't do enough for us she was most attentive and was so helpful ,a real gem !!

Room Tip: Rooms 35 and 36 are best away from the centre block.
