The beach at Majorda is breathtaking and it stretches for miles in each direction from the Majorda Beach Resort. Take an early morning stroll and see dolphins and sand crabs. During the day, you might see cattle being taken down into the sea for a wash and cool down or fishermen sorting out their nets. Watch the sun going down from a shack with a cool drink or just stand on the beach with the sand and/or sea around you toes. Patronise the beach sellers but do bargain hard, a sarong for example should cost no more than 250Ruppees.
Walk on the beach; rent a bicycle or even a horse! Alternatively, just people watch. In the heat of the day wear a hat and do carry a bottle of water. However, it is possible to stop at a beach shack for a drink, there are many and not too far apart.
Visit: Marks and Spencer’s on the beach (a beach shack selling a variety of items including clothes) or go to the tailor to the left of the Majorda Beach Resort. Also, there are souvenir shops next door to the tailor. All worth a visit.
Wander into the Majorda Village where there are a lot of good jewellers, an excellent bespoke tailor as well as shops selling ready-made clothes and other souvenirs – do bargain for those. There are 5 restaurants, also 3 small shops for buying provisions and toiletries and a friendly bar, as well as a liquor shop. There is also a barber.
There is an excellent DENTIST (Dental Solutions) opposite Eden Garden apartments on the bus route to Margoa. She is very good and not as expensive the UK for all dental work and not just for emergencies. You can find Dental Solutions on Google Maps. Also, under the same name is her husband in Colva who does implants.
