Owner description: Through the times and centuries, St. Florian is a place with a perfect harmony between faith, art and music. Just a few minutes from the city of Linz, you are here in between the nature. Be our guest, enjoy the lovely and peaceful guest-rooms. Use the time for a conversation with canons, go on a hike, or simply relax and let the daily routine behind you. The Canons Regular of St. Augustine's are looking forward to seeing you and wish you a pleasant and blessed stay in St. Florian!

One of our world's great treasures - this monastery compound with a beautiful abbey is outstanding. The painted ceilings are staggering. Organist Anton Bruckner played here; he's buried in the crypt. Our group was blessed with a library tour which brought us to tears. A UNESCO World Heritage site not to be missed!

This church and seminary occupy a large site containing many stunning and ornate buildings all on a large scale. The main church in particular is incredibly ornate and richly decorated, the seminary monumental, even the small chapel to out Lady is beautifully atmospheric and peaceful.

This is a wonderful place to visit. It feels like a working Abbey should do. It's peaceful and tranquil, but huge and Baroque. It's religion on a massive scale.

Performing and recording with The Cleveland Orchestra in Sankt Florian Stift, we enjoyed walking the beautifully landscaped grounds and visiting the burial place of composer Anton Bruckner, who lies in state beneath the magnificent organ on which he performed. The acoustics are amazing, even heavenly, inside the ornate Baroque sanctuary. There is a wonderful gift shop and Feuerwehr museum as well as restaurants.
