Don't visit if you are looking for a party atmosphere or nightlife. If want total relaxation, great accommodation, great food and service this place is for you. Our Butler Rashid looked after everything for us . Served breakfast in our Villa booked trips out, organised special dinners in the wine boutique. We didn't want for anything. Fantastic views from our terrace, private infinity pool, day bed and fridge stocked with your favourite drinks. A special mention also for Ganesh who looked after us in the restaurant with an impeccable level of service. We will definitely return.

Dear Mark,

Thank you for your lovely comments and recognition of Rashid and Ganesh, I have shared your review with our whole team at MAIA Luxury Resort & Spa.

Our star butler Rashid sends his best wishes, I am delighted to read that because of our private butler service he had the opportunity to create such wonderful memories during your time in paradise.

We all hope that we will once again have the pleasure of hosting you at our very own private peninsula.

Best Regards

Karl Saint Ange (Resident Manager) and the MAIA team

Nice place, nice is reductive, the place is gorgeous. From the arrival, the smiles, the colors. The view and the room made you feel blessed, the organization of everything is perfect, the rotation of the experiences is unique, the food, the cellar, the beach, the privatre pool, et c. et c. I will stop here and get down working so that I can afford another week there :)

Room tip: all rooms are not rooms but bungalows designed to be unique and they made it.

Our friends just got married here and it was amazing. The resort is gorgeous. The villas are private and really make you feel secluded and private. They assign you a butler to cater to your ever whim and desire- we had Jay and he was absolutely spectacular- I wanted to take him home with me! If you're staying here more than 4 days, the food choices may get a little stale because it's somewhat limited and you're having at least 3 meals and snacks here a day, so by that time you've had just about everything on the menu. Scuba diving is included for those of you that love to dive. If you are looking for a romantic vacation away from it all, I can't recommend Seychelles enough!

Dear Guest,
Thank you for your review on TripAdvisor. I am very glad that you enjoyed your stay with us and thank you for praising Jay. The butlers are the best aspect of the Maia experience, followed closely by the size and style of the Villas and the location.
Chef and I will review the menu in order to increase the offering.
Looking forward to welcoming you back to Maia in the not so distant future.
Warm regards

The hotel is perched on a hill so all villas have a nice view of the beach (which at all times seemed beautifully empty) and the bay below. The room configuration as well as its positioning (on the hill) provide guests with privacy. Food was good, though at first I found the selections a little limiting, however if I asked for something or deviated from the menu it was provided and all requests were graciously honored. The room was beautifully decorated and the bathroom was great - check out the sink fixtures to see how serious MAIA takes attention to detail. The room's private pool is a nice size and a great place to take in the view. There are two villa views to choose from, one being the resort beach and the other - the town beach. Both are perfect.

The "whatever, whenever, wherever" it's pretty amazing specially for breakfast; waking up with those breathtaking views of the ocean and having the breakfast served in the villa feels really good.

The villa itself is huge and the infinite pool gorgeous. The staff is what makes the stay more amazing and I have to thank our butler Bishnu for taking care of us everyday and also the barman Ron for surprising us with his creations.

We did yoga a couple of mornings and also went scuba-diving which is totally recommended. In addition we took a relaxing one hour massage which was delightful.

To celebrate my birthday Bishnu decorated the room with balloons, the guys at the spa sang the happy birthday and we had dinner at the helipad. Top!

But for a 5-star place the only disappointment was the food. They got right the Japanese meals but all the other dishes were nothing special and meat was usually cooked wrong.

Definitely a place to be pampered, a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
