Dropped by for lunch on Saturday and was pleased to find it had improved since the last visit over a year ago when it was below average.
I had the fresh King fish which was cooked beautifully, crispy batter, fish moist and flavoursome and the chips perfectly done with those yummy crispy bits at the bottom.
Fish prices seem about the same at $11.50 per piece for fresh and under the $10 mark for frozen. Decent amount of chips for price unlike some.

The reviews for this outlet are consistentently good so on this, our fifth visit to Noosaville, we decided to try them out.
I should mention here that at home in Cambridge NZ, we have a top class award winning F&C shop so we we had a high level of expectation. Sadly though, our visit to NFM did not live up to our expectations. What let it down in our view was the quality of the fish. I had the fish basket which included, i think, fish bites rather than a fillet of fish. These were heavily battered and i had to really look for the fish-what i saw was not the white fresh fish i expected but a rather grey flesh. My wife had just F&C and again though the fish looked better it was completely tasteless. I had a taste of it and had i not known what i was eating, i would have been completely uncertain of what was in my mouth.
On the positive side, the chips were great as was the single scallop and the squid rings in my basket. Not so great was the potato fritter which was rather greasy and which i threw away.
All in all, a rather disappointing meal.

We came accross this when we were travelling the east coast. So glad we drove past. Such a cute, quirky little shop with the most amazing food. They are reasonably priced for the quality and fast service. We got dory, whiting and chips. We opted for battered fish. It was SO good. The batter was fluffy and crisp. Would highly recommend stopping here for a bite to eat. Would rate higher than 5 stars if I could!

Thank Samantha L
