The worst food ever in no man's land. Run from that location. The beach actually is not properly a beach..is just stones and the pool is dirty, full of hair and.. stuff. The rooms are clean but looks like 20 years ago exactly like all the nearby locations. If you want to see something you need to go 20 km from here ..in Rethymo.

We were allocated this hotel as part of a last minute package deal and on the whole we were very happy with our stay.

On the plus side... we stayed in a family room which included a double bed, bunks and a travel cot. The rooms are more than adequate, cleaned every day with decent bathrooms, a balcony, a fridge and working aircon! They don't have tea and coffee etc but we were comfortable for 9 nights.

We were all really happy with the food. Lots of healthy choices and a wide variety, with plenty of typically Greek food mixed in too. We all looked fwd to meal times!

The pool is basic but very clean and big enough for everyone to have fun in. Pool volleyball on offer in the aftn which we loved!

The staff work so hard and can't do enough for you. This was particularly the case for the manager Mrs Poppy who was such a help with advice and info and for anything we needed.

The view from the pool is stunning! The sea is right in front of you and is a beautiful sight. You are 20 metres from the beach.

In a perfect world.... the beach would be sandy! This part of the beach is very rocky!

There would be a more entertainment in the evenings. There was a disco on one evening and other than that nothing else to particularly to do.

The games room us a bit dated and could do with an upgrade.

The hotel is at the end of a pretty deserted strip. (The all inclusive hotels have killed off many of the tavernas etc). There is a bar and a couple of small shops plus a couple of tavernas.

We caught the bus into the local town 3 times which was about a 40 min journey. Well worth doing as a lot to see with a beautiful beach.

If you are happy with playing in the pool and spending s lot of relaxed time around the hotel I think this is the perfect place.

The hotel was comfortable and the setting was great, although money could be spent on developing a cove at the front of the hotel to facilitate safe swimming and access to the sea over sand rather than people struggling with the enormous amount of rocks and pebbles. The rooms are basic and cleaned regularly. The food was reasonable at the start of our 14 day stay but the standard appeared to deteriorate over the course of our holiday, with many food items being burnt. Some of the guests have little regard for other people and take huge amounts of food, pushing other people out of the way to fill their plates and then sadly do not eat it. The all inclusive drinks facility finishing at 10.00pm could pose a problem for some guests if they are not prepared to pay after this time. The staff in both the reception, restaurant and the bar are excellent, hard working, friendly and more than prepared to go the extra mile to ensure the guests are happy. The management on the other hand are overbearing and can at times be rude and thoughtless in respect of both staff and guests which can make guests feel embarrassed and awkward and staff humiliated.
The natural environment around this hotel is fantastic and would encourage us to make a return trip.
Overall the hotel was clean, peaceful and a beautiful place to enjoy a relaxing holiday. It may be wise though, if you are considering this hotel as a holiday destination, to polish up on your German and Russian language skills as very few English people holiday here. The Russians made us very welcome and seemed very surprised that we were " genuine" English people. Most of the Germans were mild mannered, just the odd few maintained their usual holiday reputation.

Room tip: Ask for a sea front or garden room, the hotel is quiet after 10.00pm. A/C facility included in the price.

Our room was ok, but a little tight for a family. But we only slept there so it wasn't a great problem. This setting is fantastic. 50 yards to the quiet beach, no rushing for sun loungers, even with Germans there, pool, patio, and good food. Not 5 star but we weren't paying for that. Beautiful sunset, great staff, glorious weather, just what we went for. Easy bus route into nearest town. Transfers took longer than anticipated, but not the hotel's fault. We couldn't fault the place, and highly recommend it to one and all.

Room tip: All good don't worry.
