It doesn’t get much better than this.

A brief , very positive review .

Having spent a relaxing and enjoyable 8 days at Melidoni village x, I thought it was important to add to the many highly complimentary reviews .

You may think all the glowing reviews can’t be true.

They are , thanks to the effort that Georgios and his team put in to making your stay an absolute joy.

The location is idyllic , peaceful , with amazing views over rural Crete and it’s distant mountains, enhanced by the sound of distant goat bells, and the company of the many friendly cats.

The accommodation is comfortable and spotlessly clean and perfect for a relaxing week or two. It even has (free of additional charge ) high speed wireless internet.

The pool we enjoyed was absolutely spotless and a joy to use . At night it was illuminated to further enhance the already idyllic ambience.

The food (breakfast and dinners) was fabulous , enjoyed in an almost magical setting (or in your villa) . An added bonus was the exceptional value offered by the amazing prices charged.

It is worth pointing out that whilst a car hire might be desirable it certainly not essential. A 45 min taxi ride form Heraklion will take you to your villa. Melidoni village is a 10 min walk away (20 min walk back up hill!) with its excellent tavernas and supermarket and mini markets.

We look forward to returning.

Great host and staff team

The main impression from our short four night stay is the excellent and personable service from Georgios and his team.Our two bedroom villa (nearest the car park) is quiet, peaceful and relaxing with beautiful views from the pool and balcony areas. The gardens were very well presented and the restaurant is spacious with great ambience. Last (but not least) the dinners at the restaurant outside area were superb and we had no inclination whatsoever to go anywhere else!

TOTAL CHILL-OUT

Wow, what a place to just totally switch off and re-charge your batteries...... there’s not much more to be said than what has already been said, but we would like to just reiterate how Georgios really is the perfect host. You can sense his passion for this wonderful development that he has created with his hard work together with his family and others around him.

Congratulations Georgios on what you have achieved here and may you continue with the same love and passion for many years to come....

Many thanks for an exceptionally relaxing time and hopefully one day we will return and once again gaze at that glorious mountain view.

Excellent, relaxing, and everything we wanted

This place was such a great find. Georgios was such a great host with so much information and amazing Black Russian cocktails! The villa had everything we needed and was so well equipped, even down to supplying mosquito plug in deterrents ( though we brought our own but was such a nice touch). It was the perfect balance between private villa and having an amazing restaurant on your doorstep. We ate at the restaurant a few times and had the takeaway pizza a couple of times too. Would highly recommend eating at the restaurant as the food is fantastic and freshly prepared. We were also so impressed by the cleanliness and attention to detail - towels (pool and bathroom) were changed every two days and bins mostly every day. The villas also have a system in place that ensures a full water supply and hot water on demand. We loved our week here and only downside was having to leave. Thank you Georgios and Mareike, we hope we can return next year to enjoy your hospitality again x

Brilliant Again

Our 2nd visit to MXV, same villa as last year and everything was perfect again. Great pool and gardens to relax in, lovely food served on site, beaches in Bali 15 mins away by car and wall to wall sunshine for two weeks.
