We walked along the beachfront to Analipsi several times during our stay, and on this specific late morning, we decided to give Poseidon a go for lunch. It sits in a small run of 3 or 4 restaurants, but it appeared to be the busiest so we hoped we'd made the right choice.
A young lady greeted us politely and asked us where we would like to sit, so we took a table overlooking the beachfront and settled back with the lunch menu. We ordered kalimari to share for starters, and then a Greek salad, plus tzatziki and bread also to share along with two large beers.
The food appeared within 10 minutes and very good it was too, the kalimari obviously fresh rather than frozen, plenty of it, cooked to the second and with a large wedge of lemon plus the salad was easily ample for at least three people. The tzatziki was thick and creamy and loaded with garlic, which is how we prefer it and the bread was fresh and crusty.
The bill came to a very reasonable €18 and feeling rather replete, we decided there and then that we would return one evening for our dinner. The waitress was charming throughout and the sevice very good indeed.
