We arrived late on Saturday evening... around 10.30.
Check in was simple and there were a few bits of food left from the earlier buffet dinner which we gratefully received after a long 11 hour journey.
Then we went to our room... which was a huge disappointment... so much so that despite it being well after 11 pm I went straight back to reception to resolve the situation.
The room was clean but very very small.
When we booked we were promised an upgraded room (beware of the sales team at teletext holidays) and this was certainly not that!!
To the hotels immense credit they moved us the very next day to a much better room with a superior bathroom.
Many thanks for that.
Now to food.Mealtimes are very tight in terms of time.
Breakfast closes at 9.30 prompt...and I mean prompt.... which is much too early when you're resting on holiday.
Dinner closes at 8.30 prompt.... again much too early for a relaxing evening out on hols.
The food is buffet self service with half the servery being exactly the same for every meal.. and i mean every meal. Tomatoes, cucumber, olives and other grated salads and cheeses.
The "hot half" varies slightly and is plentiful.
All inclusive drinks are restricted to a set list for some reason and things like ice cream are only available for one hour in the morning and another later in the day. If you fancy an ice cream at 5 to 11...fine. 5 past 11... bad luck.

Overall a decent effort. 4 stars?? No way on earth.
3 stars? Maybe.

The staff make it worthwhile....

JC

Check in at this hotel was a nightmare. The staff were rude and unfriendly at check in. It took us an hour to finally get in our room! After we paid the tax, the staff made us wait for half an hour for a room after checking in. When we told the staff we had been waiting this long, they gave us the key that was behind the desk the whole time. We went upstairs to find our room was still being cleaned and we could not enter for another half hour. Definitely would not stay here again. Go somewhere with friendly and fast staff instead!

Bigger expectations from a 4 star hotel. The room was cleaned every day, bathroom was a little small but the food was lovely. Location of the hotel is handy because was close to the beach especially the pool bar because you can bring your drinks to the sunbeds. Staff was lovely and kind with us , they even offer us a 2 days trial to the sister 5 star hotel "kiani beach hotel". Entertainment was ok but we expected more from a 4 star hotel. Overall everything was fine but felt like a 3 star hotel.
