Have not been to the Greek Islands since my twenties keep doing the 2 hour flights to Spain...well this place based on the cost was amazing. I have travelled a lot and I must say this is a beautiful place, so tranquil . Great family holiday, the resort is clean and well maintained the staff are helpful n friendly and right on the beach which was not too busy, very hot ! over 40 but they were having unusually high temps..10th July so out of the holiday zone...
We stayed in a 2 bedroomed apartment, not the most comfortable, there was no sofa just a kitchen table in dining area, but then you don't go away to sit inside!, Accomodation was v good for Geece.it was clean and the maid came everyday.
Im looking to go back in September absolutely loved it.

this was our first trip to greece and it was amazing!! hotel is in a great location, only a stones throw from the beach, hotel was clean, staff very friendly. air conditioning and safe are extra which costs about 35 euro for the week.rooms are a bit basic so we ate out every day/night.
was a little worried after reading reviews about stray dogs but i must say i only saw 1 and it was just walking past not bothering anyone.
lots of great places to eat, vagis restaurant was one of our favourite places, but i would not recommend going to the LEMON TREE, as we waited over 1 and a half hours to eat, we eventually left starving as we didnt want to wait any longer and ended up renaming it ourselves.
not many shops, looks like the village seems to be struggling a little bit.
overall fantastic holiday thanks to thomson the dog and newly made friends........

This was our first trip to zante and it was AMAZING!! We have a 3 yr old and a 5 yr old which meant we were living in the water all week!! The hotel is in the best location right on the beach and we stayed in a studio apartment which was fine as apart from sleeping we didnt use the room much. The Thomson reps were great and the kids and entertainment team were awesome cant fault them. Our kids loved the kids club and we only did one excursion run through Thomson as it was to see the shipwreck but aimed at kids using a pirate theme and only lasted half a day which was plenty with 2 kids desperate to get back in the pool. The local restaurants were amazing and for a family of 4 with 1 round of drinks, mains and puds we were spending between 26 - 55 euros a night which worked out pretty cheap. There are several supermarkets in the area as well as the one in the hotel and tbh the hotel one is pretty competetive. during the day there is a snack bar/bar between the beach pool and the other pools and the food is lovely and well priced. The new splash park is fab and perfect for kids except our boys were not allowed on the 3 main slides as you had to be 6 minimum but the other small slides were good too. The beach is perfect you can walk out really far before it gets to any real depth which is quite reassuring with kids. We loved this holiday and if we werent already booked to go to the US next year I would definately book to come back here, I highly recommend it for children and anyone looking for a complete relax. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!!!

Room Tip: We were in rooms overlooking the reception and pool which some would find noisy but as long as the d...

Great for children and the Thomson reps do everything they can to make everybody's holiday go well. Went to Olympia and was really worthwhile but would say it is too much for small children. The turtle trip was worthwhile as they have a great spotter who trys to make sure you see them. We went to a different restaurant each night and didn't find a problem with any of them. Went to the Greek night at The Mill and had a brilliant time and you have to make sure you book otherwise you won't get in. You are expected to join in the Greek dancing and will end up exhausted with enjoyment.

Room Tip: Bedroom over reception area noisy in the evening because over entertainment area. Usually quietens d...

Just back from a wonderful stay here in Zante. My husband, son and I went for a week from 15th July and it was perfect. Couldn't have wished for a better holiday. None of us had ever been to Greece or any of the Greek islands before and thought that we'd try somewhere new. We had an appartment looking out onto the beach and the scenery from our room was outstanding. Having landed in the middle of a heatwave the temperature was amazing, reaching upto 40+ degrees on some of the days so we were glad that we paid for the use of the air-con as the night-time temperatures were really clammy. We had previously read up on the resort before travelling and had noticed the reports on the gypsy children and wild dogs but during our stay we only saw two dogs close to the resort and neither of them seemed out of place, it looked as if they could have belonged to the owners and were just walking around minding their own business and didn't trouble anyone, and we never saw any gypsy children at all. The appartment itself was clean and tidy, the beds were a little hard at first but we got used to them very quickly, however the cooking utilities were very basic so we tended to eat out more often than not. There are plenty of restaurants within easy reach of the hotel and were all reasonably priced so it served us better to eat out anyway, and all the staff seemed very friendly wherever we went. The trips that are available from the resort are the same as what's on offer all over the town however they are a lot cheaper if you buy them off site. There's a little stand just up the road from the hotel and we easily saved 10euros each on the prices. We would definitely like to return here for future holidays and would gladly recommend this resort to anyone thinking of going.

Room Tip: Beach view appartments have the best scenery and are very quiet even on a night when balcony doors a...
