Stayed 4 nights. The apartments are good. Mine was large, 2 balconies, overlooking sea and fortress. There are a few shortcuts, but if you ask the owner Giorgios, he rectifies it. Reasonable given the cost. Also they don’t function on email and there are no card facilities (I paid by bank transfer). I would recommend.
We have been going here for many years and have travelled the world but this is one I
of our favourite places in the whole world. We went here in May for three weeks and enjoyed every second. We are 70 years plus but managed the cobbles and hill up to the apartment because it is totally worth it.George is a lovely man and will do his utmost to make sure you enjoy your stay.Peaceful and lovely, if you want quiet, this is the place for
you
This trip was my third time in Molyvos. I like to stay in old houses and try different locations.Queen of Molyvos is perfect for me. Very quiete, very clean, very useful and near to everywhere. Our room was in the second floor, we use common balcony which was ok for us because Nobody was passing. The third floor balcony has better view i guess. The first floor is in the garden and has less privacy. In the morning we made our tea and coffe, buy breakfast from bakery which is very near. For dinner harbour was our choice. The price and what we get was perfect for us.If you like stay in house rather than hotel room, live with locals you will like it.Thanks to George for everthing, very polite and helpful. Definetely i will prefer for my next time.
Nice, clean and cozy rooms with a great balcony. Will probably stay in my next trip too. Maybe the only problem is climbing. The hotel is located very close to the molyvos castle which is bit far from restaurants and makes you climb to reach. 8/10
Just arrived back home from a two week stay at the apartments. We had the studio room, room 11, which was on the ground floor. This I believe is the smallest and most basic of all the apartments. Some of the apartments upstairs were much bigger with better facilities. However, we were very happy. We had access to a table, chairs and parasol in the most beautiful garden. Ideal for post beach beer time with a view of the sea. Fantastic!
The room was typically Greek, basic, but the bathroom was much more spacious than most. It was clean and there were nice touches, such a soap and washing up liquid provided. Cooking facilities allowed us to cook meals for half of the time there. There was a two ring stove, microwave and coffee machine.
The apartments are situated right at the top of the town, not far from the castle. This is great for the views and also the cool breeze in the evening. It also very close to the number one rated restaurant Tropicana and one of the local bakeries. However, it is quite a climb from the town and the beach. So if you in anyway struggle with hills, you may wish to book elsewhere, or hire a car. Which we did. Parking was fine. The apartments have a very good sized car park.
The thing that is the best about Molyvos Queen Apartments however, is George, the owner. He is brilliant. Laid back, funny and very approachable. We had an issue with one of the rings on our stove, he resolved it within a couple of hours. He was also there each evening tending to his garden, which was fantastic as he gave us so many tomatoes and peppers, which were divine. He gave brilliant tips on places to visit.
Thank you George for such a wonderful holiday. We loved our stay in Molyvos and if go back to Lesvos we will definitely stay with you again.
