“Charming cottage, charming village, charming hosts”

Faja Grande is far and away the best place to stay on Flores and Neil and and Carol are absolutely wonderful hosts. The cottage is tiny but utterly charming and laid out very well so that there is plenty of room for 1-2 adults. It is clean and modern and has everything you need. Unlike many places in the Azores the bed is very comfortable. Although the cottage is immediately adjacent to your hosts' home, it is very private with its own entrance and a lovely private garden. Best of all is enjoying your own private rooftop sitting area with amazing views overlooking the village and the ocean.

Making this connection with Neil & Carol changed my life. It was the only place to rent that I found on the internet so I booked it. They provided a sweet cottage for me to come and go from, Carol took pity on a hippy and did my laundry a few times! The cottage is dry and hidden away in the village, very quiet and peaceful. I hope I have the chance to stay there again.

“Cute Cottage”

This was a cute little studio cottage with lots of ambiance. It was clean and neat although not for anyone over 6 feet tall. It has a wonderful garden with a table and chairs so that you can enjoy it. It was beautiful. Better months to go are July and August when all the flowers are in bloom.

what a wonderful place, a relaxing tranquil hideaway from reality. Would recommend to relax and unwind in this wonderful island.

Neil and Carol have built a lovely little hideaway, and their guidebook and recommendations for places to eat were superb.

10 mins to the sea walking, and 15 to the waterfall/bathing pool. You'll need a car for the best bits of Flores
