i also got moved to this hotel from another that went bust. in the same week i might add. (do not go to visage luxe it is shut down). but when we moved all staff were friendly and happy to help. the bars were lovely with plenty of choice. they speak fairly good english as well as russuian and german. it was a mixed ethnic hotel with lots of german russians and english id say it was about even with them all and never had a problem with any foreigners. the beach was lovly although not brilliant for small kids as its drop and gets quite deep about 5 foot away from shore but the pools are lovely and slides are brill i couldnt get off them lol. if it was up to me id of stayed at this hotel and never come home. and everyone going has to speak to a turkish man called george and get turkish bath and spa treatment they are absolotly relaxing and they help with your tan so you have to have it done on your 1st or 2nd day. all in all an amazing hotel and would happily go back at any time.

My family 2 adults 2 children 17 and 5 arrived here after been transfered from our first hotel which had gone into administration.. After a horrendous first few days of our holiday we arrived at the Semena.........

Fabulous reception staff -- told to drop our bags get some lunch have a drink and they will find us when the room is ready.. Got the choice of 2 rooms both large family rooms. The rooms are a little dated but very very clean and spaicous,

The pool is wonderfull - 4 pools in all all with large children's pools attached. The main pool has 2 fabulous waterslides - It is huge and crystal clear !!

Restarant - Wonderfull fresh food - huge range - fabulous setting - great staff - pianist playing in the background..... Great

Snack bar - Great food great atmosphear ... Good music...

pool bar - lovely staff - MASSIVE choice of drinks - nothing too much trouble.

Entertainment - Great - The animation team work very hard to include everyone and put some great nights on. they love the children and have time for a chat with everyone. And they are not all young kids after the girls !!!!

Kids club - Fab - my son found his own way here and stuck like glue - It is in an open spot so you can see your kids at all times - Good idea !

Rooms cleaned and loads of fresh towels every day - Staff remember you and great you at all times - They can not do enough for you.

My only gripe is ... it is mainly a russian hotel and they are very rude and pushy - They will and do 'always push in at the bar or queing for food. - They also do not give a fig if you pull them on the lack of manners.. One or two got a bit drunk and rowdy on an evening.

Despite this i would go back - The Semena made a disaster holiday into a wonderfull one - Thank you x

after booking our holiday my daughter told me to go on trip advisor and check it out.I was very disappointed with the revues and wished i hadn't booked. Three day's later i was in turkey, standing in our villa room thinking this ain't too bad. The room was spacious but not quite 5 star quality, it was clean and tidy and probably the largest room we have ever had.I had concerns about air con after reading some of the revues but this was unfounded as most nights i had to turn it down because it got too cold (even though it was 30 outside). I dont understand why the staff have been accused of being rude and unfreindly, we found them very freindly and helpful, maybe the people who left the revues are rude and unfreindly! Yes, the complex is full of eastern europeans (we were the only british there) but again we found this no problem as many spoke english. The food is good but it is a bit of scrum to get hold of, we found the best way was to go later in the sitting, use the BBQ snack bar lunch time and most importantly make use of the a la carte evening meals (3 nights a week), it may cost you £4 a head but you get waiter service, a 5 course meal, better quality wine and of course no queue.
The villa pool was best for us, nice and quiet and easy to get a sunbed.
We took a daily stroll to the beach which was OK.
Night entertainment wasn't great, luckily i took a dvd player, topped up a few glasses with vodka and watched the Pacific.
During our holiday i told my wife, lucky i didn't look at the revues before i booked or we would have missed out on a good holiday.
I felt compelled to write a revue to balance up the bad ones.
