My partner and I spent an amazing week here. The villa is in a beautiful location, up on a hill, with views of Gennadi Bay in front, and mountains (or hills) behind. There are two sets of two villas, but the layout means privacy is well maintained. The pool is solar heated, and thus warm enough swim in even early in the season. It gets sun all day, and well into the evening; we often sat out in the sun until 7:30 in May. The property is well decorated and well equipped; I found everything I needed; though I confess that with so many decent places to eat nearby, we rarely ate in. The air conditioning, if you use it, is superb and very quiet. We will, in all certainty, go back. Indeed we have just booked to return next month; however, this villa is booked, so we have managed to get the one next door!

It is a good 10-15 minute walk from Gennadi, and there are back roads to avoid the main road. We had a car, and I don't know if I would visit without one - there is so much of the island that needs visiting that is not easily accessible by public transport, and I think one would feel quite cut off. Taxis were easy enough to get, once we had managed to get one firm to find us; however, we rarely found ourselves wondering into the tourist-y areas of an evening, as we found everything we needed and wanted nearby. There are great road connections for exploring the rest of the island, and my personal feeling is that this part of the island must be one of the most beautiful, if not just for the lower density of people.

Tourist facilities exist in Gennadi itself, but in our experience it largely caters for the villa-visitor and the local, so don't expect hordes of people or clubs nearby, but again, taxis were reasonable and easy enough to get. There is a wonderful greengrocer and baker in town, and the supermarket is well stocked. Kiotari, nearby, also has bars and restaurants and shops, and there is a large supermarket, if you need one, in Kalathos which is on the way from the airport.

All in all, an amazing experience. From paying to driving instructions to deposit return, everything was fantastic. Highly recommended!
