Johore Battery was well-known during the Battle for Singapore as the site of three 15-inch guns, called monster guns by locals, called into action against the invading Japanese forces. The original coastal battery itself is no longer on site, but a replica of a 15-inch gun has been installed over the original tunnel/casemate system. There's even a concrete walkway/layout above ground showing the tunnel system. You can also see into the tunnel system via a small observation glass in the ground. Entry is free and it's an interesting site to visit.
There's a bar/restaurant on the grounds as well, so not a bad idea to get a cold drink and hot meal after visiting the site. A must-see for WWII history buffs. If not wanting to make this a private stop as it's somewhat off the beaten path, try the Singapore Walks Changi WWII tour as this is included as a stop.
Note that it's located on a narrow portion of Cosford Road (follow the brown signs for the site) and parking did not appear readily available.
