Wow. We loved this 'hotel'. We booked to stay for a week thinking we would try somewhere different for the second half of our holiday - but we loved it so much we stayed again after visiting Koh Phangan for a few days.
The staff are all amazing, so attentive, caring, discrete, friendly, helpful and positive.
If you are looking for quick access to a crazy party vibe, then this is not the place for you, on the other hand, if you are looking for a quiet, clean, beautiful restful space then this could be what you are looking for.
The breakfast was generous and delicious and the lunch and dinner menu was great with very tasty Thai food.
We highly recommend The Beluga - as long as it's not booked out the next time we want to go :-)

Room Tip: We stayed in the ground floor room for easy access to the pool, bar and beach. For awesome ocean vie...

We stayed in the corner Seaview room with glorious views. Bed was massive and comfy. Loved the white leather lounging chair.
Bathroom was like something from the future- Uber cool lighting and fantastic showers. Loved the lemongrass oil diffuser.
Pool area spotless and they go out of their way to ensure you have enough shade as the sun beats relentlessly down. Pool was saltwater, bravo! No overpowering chlorine for once.
There are snorkels to borrow if you feel so inclined.
Breakfast was delicious, I'm not a fan of pastries or bread ( French owners) I'm in the minority and would have preferred a crispy salad Instead, friend was over joyed with the pastries.
We dined in one evening, had the blue crab ravioli- almost perfect ( I'm a personal chef by trade) sauce on ravioli way to thick.....
All meals delicious.

I'm kidding!!! Before anyone thinks I'm a total numpty and was about to blame the hotel for the weather! It rained for the first few days... Oh well... More time to go to the gym nearby and back for cocktails! And with plenty of giant umbrellas to borrow, the hotel does everything it can to keep you busy if it does rain!

The place was faultless. From the 3 course breakfast, to the cocktails, to the lovely staff and the incredible house keeping staff who seemed to telepathically know when you were out your room and for how long!! Without exception we would come back from breakfast to an immaculately cleaned room with a gorgeous lemon oil burner in the bathroom.

Yes, the hotel is quite quirky in decor but it is an exceptional place. We ate lunch at the hotel a couple of times and the prices were fair for the quality of food that was served. The hotel also owns a restaurant in Hat Lamai, called Seventy Fahrenheit. It was our most expensive meal of our trip but 2 starters, 2 main courses and 5 beers still cost less than £25 and if you stay at hotel you get 10% discount!

Back to the hotel... Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel arranged for us to visit the Big Buddha and temples using their driver to save time and stress with taxis!

We were there to relax but also spent a lot of time training Muai Thai (Lamai Muai Thai gym is only 15min walk away) so it was lovely to come back to a bit of banter from the staff about why we would come on holiday to do something as hard work as that!! There are a couple of wee plastic chair restaurants 2 mins walk from the hotel- don't be put off... The food was tremendous and cost about £3 for lunch!!

It is a quiet hotel so don't go expecting to be entertained at night. But the bar is lovely and the whole place lit with pink and purple night lights.

The only tiny wee small issue is that unless you walk up the main road (or get a taxi type truck thing for 50baht) the only way to get to Lamai main strip is to walk along the beach (15-20mins). There are plenty of bars on the way but There is no walkway linking all the hotels/bars. It wasn't a problem for us (although was a harder walk than we gave it credit for and resulted in a couple of very sweaty faces for dinner in the evenings lol) so if mobility is an issue.... The hotel may feel a bit isolated.

Our flight home was at an ungodly hour so they arranged a pick up for us and if we had wanted, they'd have provided a breakfast to go!

It has been one of the best hotels we have ever been to and even checked the availability for our next trip before we even checked out!!!

Hopefully... We will be back!

The staff all display an amazing attention to detail, they are warm and friendly and try their hardest to predict and preempt your needs.
The whole environment is really peaceful as there are only 14 rooms and the hotels attracts a broad range of diversity making it really interesting.
We loved having a room on the ground floor and being able to swim relatively late at night as the pool is a mineral pool and does not need daily chemical adjustments
We stayed for 12 night and would happily return when we need to rest relax and recharge because staying here makes that totally unavoidable
The hotel team will support you to arrange any trips and will personalize them if possible.
The owner Romain is lovely and also has a restaurant in main lamai which again serves amazing food
We cannot thank the hotel enough for making our stay so very special.

Room Tip: We had a room on the ground floor opening out by the swimming pool upstairs have balconies

Can't fault this place. It was exactly what we were looking for. Good staff, rooms, linen, showers, food...etc. We highly recommend it. The lighting is also great. Suggest you get a cheeky massage too, down the beach.
