“Perfect in every way”
Reviewed 14 August 2017 for a stay in July 2017

Elia Cottage is wonderful. Perfect location - near enough to town and supermarkets to be really easy, but beautifully secluded with total privacy. The cottage was brilliantly equipped and incredibly comfortable - everything we needed was there. We all loved the pool.

Sally was really responsive, the mid-stay clean and regular pool cleaning were brilliant.

I cannot recommend Elia Cottage, and Skopelos highly enough for a wonderful Greek holiday.

PS: My rather pedestrian top tip is to book a transfer from Skiathos port back to the airport in Skiathos. We waited over 45 minutes at the taxi rank at the port and cut it very fine for our flight home!

We have just visited elia cottage. The cottage is absolutely gorgeous bigger than you think. The pool is amazing with plenty of places to sit and the pool is really clean.
Halfway through the pool got cleaned too which is great.
The kitchen area was great too it had everything you needed.
The bedrooms were so lovely and everywhere was so clean.
The cottage worked so well for us as we just wanted a beautiful place to relax and that's what we got.

Our favourite part of the cottage was the terrace we spent every evening watching all the lights come on from the town it's so romantic. Whilst drinking plenty of wine from the local supermarket!! Very nice!

The walk into town is nice and pleasant and the town is a delight. Exactly what you imagine a Greek town to be with loads of places to eat.

The beaches were fantastic too. We used the bus one day to travel to Kastani beach. On our last two days we hired a car, which was so easy to do and we enjoyed driving around the island finding all the beautiful beaches.

Sally who owns the cottage has been a delight from start to finish and was so helpful throughout the whole experience of booking the cottage.

Sally was actually visiting the island as we were there and had the pleasure to meet her. One morning we found a little bag with a pastry from her favourite bakery, which we thought was a really nice touch.

Overall if you want a beautiful, romantic and extremely relaxing place to go Elia cottage is what you will find.
Thankyou again Lucy and Paul York.

“Perfect Week Away”

We travelled here as a party of 4 adults and the accommodation was perfect for us as it had 2 good sized double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Although small, the kitchen was well equipped and there were plenty of places to eat - the poolside table (for breakfasts), terrace for drinks and dips, and the dining room for the one day it rained.

Although we cooked a BBQ at the cottage one night (do try the meat from the butchers opposite Skopelos Supermarket in town), we mostly ate out and used the recommendations made by Sally (the owner). Perivoli's was our favourite, although closely followed by an excellent meal at Muses and Mylos. We tried Anna's but couldn't recommend this as each of us had 4 different meals and all were of poor quality (frozen fish and uninspiring presentations).

For bars, we enjoyed Anemos down by the harbour, and also liked Mercurius for after dinner drinks.

We drove up to Glossa one day (as it rained) and had an absolutely fabulous lunch at Agnanti - would thoroughly endorse all recommendations for this place. Stunning views and modern Greek food with some very clever cooking techniques.

Beaches - enjoyed Kastani, Milia and Agnondas.

Skopelos Town is so unspoilt and whilst we were slightly off the peak season, it is not touristy and the old town and back streets are worth just exploring. Views from higher up are stunning and there are some good little shops to browse.

We walked into town and mostly walked back too. Only took 30 minutes each way and although uphill, it really isn't that bad (helped by the fact that we had consumed some nice wines and it was quiet on the roads). Sometimes we caught a cab and that was only 8 euros but we often preferred to walk after a big meal.

Swimming pool at the villa was lovely and clean and the sun beds around it were of good quality. We enjoyed spending time here as the views looking down to Skopelos Town was fantastic (during the day and at night).

Bathrooms - showers were hot and plenty of water. We did find that the showers flooded the floor a bit - so use the mop! Also could do with some more power points.

Would thoroughly recommend and we also had a sneak preview of Villa Elia next door and it is very lovely indeed.

We travelled as 2 young couples and had an amazing 10 day stay at elia cottage. Beautiful surroundings, great views of skopelos town from the terrace, clean swimming pool with all amenities for bbq. Overall an excellent experience, we highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a quiet & relaxing place to spend their holiday, while at the same time close enough to town if they prefer the hustle&bustle of this beautiful island.

“We loved Elia Cottage, Skopelos!”
Reviewed 10 September 2016 for a stay in July 2016

Elia Cottage was very comfortable, very well decorated and romantic.
Swimming pool and the pool area was amaizing especially at nights, stars were so closed to us.
Cooking at Elia Cottage was so easy and enjoyable.

We loved house owners' guideline book:) it helped us in the island.
Wifi, hot water, lighting... A bottle of wine in the refrigerator, flowers, lovely ceramics, smell of the air, olive trees were greate.
