Kindness, love and respect for these often abused and uncared for animals is very evident here.

These donkeys are well cared for and are enjoying a safe environment. I understand that they will also teach farmers how to care for their working farm donkeys.

We had lunch in the little restaurant. The Chicken Pesto open sandwich was outstanding, as was my free range eggs breakfast. The food is really yummy . Good cup of coffee ☕!

I highly recommend a visit to the sanctuary. Your donations are very helpful. ❤️

I learnt very interesting things about donkeys I did not know before. They are doing good work there and need your support

We had a wonderful guide that took us around and know all the donkeys by name and character! The donkeys were lovely and came to say hello and like to be pet.
This place does a fantastic work giving earlier abused animals a safe home with love, food and vetrinary care!

We had a lovely visit with our baby. The guides were very well informed and it was great to touch the donkeys.

We went to McGregor for an overnight stay and we visited the sanctuary. On arrival at 13:00 we were informed that they are actually closing up. But we can enjoy a drink or quick snack. They made us feel welcome and they did not just say "sorry we are actually closing up"and let us drive away. We had a nice bottle of wine and cheesecake and they let us enjoy the visit. At other places we are so used to "sorry we are actually closing " and had to turn away. What is also so precious is that there is a small footpath with a crate if river stones and marker and you can write on the stone the person's name;your pet etc that passed away and put the stone on the heap of stones. There is a pathway for wheelchairs.
