This resort, in a somewhat isolated location, has all the ingredients for a successful holiday.
All one could wish for in resources, whether you require action or relaxing.
The hotel, though a little tired, tries to engender an amicable atmosphere which for the most part it succeeds.
The rooms are spacious with extensive sea views, perhaps showing signs of a busy summer, but comfortable and well equipped.
The food choice is extensive and reflects the regions cuisine, although a cosmopolitan range is also available.
The pools were spotless, as was the beach area. Plenty of sun beds with comfy cushions.
No problem with clean towels poolside, however the room towels, even though being changed on a frequent basis were mostly threadbare and course to the skin.
The poolside bar was the best for drinks, as g+to were freshly served with lots of ice. All inclusive terms meant that the gin was not of the highest quality or strength, However, tonic served from a bottle that needed shaking to enable fizz did not impress at the main hotel bar.
The staff were impressive, the warm welcome at reception, the drink and going away present on departure were nice touches.
A great resource, but perhaps a bit isolated, although a regular bus service was excellent and frequent.
A particular mention for Popi our waitress and Seraphim, who we hope enjoys his post summer break in Germany.

We have spent far more money over the years on all inclusive holidays and although a week here wasn't cheap it certainly wasn't the dearest we've had either. With that thought in mind we were willing to cut Cavo Spada some slack which turned out to be completely unnecessary. The setting is stunning, well maintained gardens and a great (pebble) beach. We rarely saw more than a few people in the vast pool.

The resort is quiet which is want we wanted but there is a very good bus service along the coast making an easy day out accessible.

Where the hotel really wins though is on their friendliness and efficiency in making everyone welcome. Special mention has to go to Antonis with his staff, in particular Georgia and Poppi in the bar who along with the other waiters, waitresses and chefs made our stay unforgettable.

We have been in the hotel for two weeks and have been very impressed.
The Staff have been superb, kind, friendly, helpful and a real example. Those in the dining areas have treated us particularly well. Our room has been really well cared for and the Reception, too, has been excellent.
The standard of meals have been first class and encouraged us to eat far too much! We have been thoroughly spoilt and have enjoyed every minute.
We thank you all for a wonderful holiday and we would love to return.
Yours Pat and Annie Gardner

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for a week as part for our honeymoon. The hotel staff greeted as with champagne and juice and took as to our room. Our room looked over the sea on one side and mountain landscape on the other side and it is very spacious room with a bed spacious balcony. The staff at reception and around the hotel always had a smile on their face and always very helpful. It's our first time all inclusive and I have to say I am pleasantly surprised. The food includes Greek cuisine as well as international food so I would say it caters for all tastes. Georgia, the manager at the main restaurant, makes your lunch and dinner even better with her personality. She was friendly and looked after our every need from day one.
The hotel has a big pool and it's also right in front of the beach. It is also an hour drive away from big attractions like Balos beach, elafonisi, Chania old Port etc. Perfect location with great food and nice staff.

My family and I spent the last two weeks of August 2017 in this amazing resort. One of the best parts of Cavo Spada is the always kind and welcoming staff, especially the people working in the main restaurant (Mrs. Georgia and Mr. Antonis) and the bar tenders. The rooms are big and always tidy: the cleaning women change the sheets and towels every day and in the evening they knock on your door to ask if you need more. The resort offers other two restaurants aside from the main one: the SeaLine beach tavern and the Azzurro Italian restaurant. We had the pleasure to have lunch with a view at SeaLine: the food was delicious, even better than the main restaurant.
