Perfect, spaceous, brand new self-catering apartment in a chalet, in a dream-like location on a stretch of mountains above Lugano.
We got a large, fully stocked apartment, including dishes, cleaning materials - everything for a self-catered vacation. Bright, cozy and sparkling clean, with wooden furniture, crisp checkered linens, a huge balcony, and endless views of the fields, pastures, and the Dolomites.
The hotel is among several properties connected to Sporthotel Spögler. As such, guests at the apartments can use the hotel’s pool and facilities; check-in and checkout are also done thru the hotel, a few minutes away by car.
As a self-catered apartment, this was a great value. The only thing we wished the apartment had is coffee for the morning, which we forgot to bring (and didn’t realize it could be ordered ahead of time).
We had a slight ‘adventure’ trying to find the hotel using the address provided by the 3rd party booking site. GPS could not locate it, so we ended up calling the number on the reservation (Sporthotel Spögler) to get driving instructions. Luckily, the lady spoke English; otherwise we might not have found it.More
