“Perfect place to get away from it all!”

Great cottage with friendly and helpful owners who greeted us on arrival and were on hand throughout incase we required assistance.

Lots of nice coastal walks nearby to the Cliffs of Moher as well as local pubs and restaurants which we spent the week walking with our Dog. When the weather wasnt suitable for walking we kept the fire on in the cottage and relaxed.

It was a cold, wet week in Co. Clare so we used a lot of firewood and peat in the range but all was included in the very generous 'starter pack' that the owners supplied for our arrival, along with a few essentials (Bread, butter & milk etc).

The only drawback was the mattress in the master bedroom was extremely hard and made sleep uncomfortable, if you prefer a slightly softer bed then I would consider bringing a mattress topper!

Overall an excellent week, and would highly recommend for a stay to ‘get away’ from the stresses and strains of work!

“Ideally situated between cliffs, seaside resorts and the Burren!”
Reviewed 14 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Kate's Cottage is a cosy cottage and at arrival, the owners give you a very warm welcome and fill you in with the amenities in the surrounding which we found quite helpful! The cottage is surprisingly spacious for four people. All its windows are facing east so you can watch some marvellous sunrises from your beds in the mornings! The cottage is a good mixture of old and new with a rustic, stone-paved kitchen and iron fireplace on the one hand and modern bathrooms and bedrooms on the other hand.
The cottage is ideally situated for daytrips. It is only a stonethrow away from the Cliffs of Moher (you can definitely walk there from the cottage). Doolin Harbour, where the boats leave for the Tour of the Cliffs and the Aran Islands is close by and the little seaside towns of Liscannor and Lahinch provide you with shops, pubs, excellent seafood restaurants and a cash machine! Also the Burren can be explored from he cottage: Kilfanora with its visitor centre, Poulnabrone portal tomb and the Burren National Park providing breathtaking walks in different levels from moderate to very difficult just to mention a few are all within driving distance!
And even Ennis can be reached comfortably on a day's trip.

“Lovely country cottage ideal location.”
Reviewed 3 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We enjoyed a lovely short break in this spacious comfortable cottage. Lots of character met by friendly, courteous owner. Close to the cliffs of Moher. Saw Dolphins from Loop head lighthouse. Short walking distance to 2 Inns that provide tiny bars within their houses, serving Guinness etc. Highly recommended and would love to visit again.

A lovely, well equipped & presented , comfortable cottage in a tranquil rustic setting . Breda is a is a lovely , friendly & helpful " hostess" . The location is ideal for exploring beautiful Co. Clare and beyond. There is a good supermarket in Ennistymon about 10 /15 minutes away or there are local bars / restaurants....especially Vaughans Anchor Inn in Liscanoor which is excellent , but booking advisable . So many lovely places to visit ...too many to mention . Just get on the Wild Atlantic Highway up to Galway and enjoy the ride
