Reading some reviews I thought the children would be bored. They were quite a few family's there as was during school holidays. Very quite tranquil peaceful rooms have DVD wifi they came round at night with ice for your room.

Staff were very helpful front desk very good. Breakfast was a bit busy but otherwise fine. Went to all the local restuarants Harry's Loona the one on the beach all very good and great value.

The pool was amazing plenty of sun beds even a bag in your room with towels to use on the beach and you could get towels at the pool bar everyday.

Go heaven on earth!,

Room Tip: We splashed out and had the pool room was good when very hot as mostly in the shade.

We thoroghly enjoyed our eight days at this resort We upgraded to a room with a pool attached. it was well worth it. Thanks Shane(in charge of Food and Beverage) You were a friendly face each morning and a great link between the foreiners and Thai staff. the others although lovely people, must learn English!
We had a Thai cooking lasson, which was great. They took sooo much trouble to make it enjoyable for us. we also had massages, manicure etc. all people were friendly and helpful. food at the hotel is delicious and we ate Thai mos nights.
A word of advice. the maid left some rubbish on the floor of our room for some days, and you need to update your towels. In our country we give towels like that away to the poor!
Otherwise, we loved your hotel and thank you.

Room Tip: Upgrade your room and enjoy your own pool.

Very laid back and friendly resort the breakfast was not the best we'd had while on holiday but non the less it filled a gap.The restaurant could actually do with a little updating the colour of the chairs and table settings give it quite a dour look.We upgraded to a pool villa on our return stay and the room was v ery comfortable and clean. All in all a very nice place to stay.

Room Tip: negotiate a pool villa theyre very reasonable

After arriving at the hotel we booked in Bophut to find it was overbooked, we ended up at the Samui Buri Resort and to say our stay was relaxing is an understatement!

This little piece of paradise at Mae Nam is the perfect place to unwind, chill out and experience some true Thai hospitality. From the management down, the staff were very friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Although not much surrounds the resort in terms of shopping, if you are looking for a complete getaway at a reasonable price, then the Samui Buri is the place for you!

Our pool villa was a beautifully designed, Thai style cottage with a separate living area, large bedroom and private outside area with pool. Needless to say, we spent hours reading, swimming and just enjoying some downtime. We didn’t really need to leave the resort much (as we weren’t really interested in shopping this trip) as everything we needed was well catered for. The Thai Thai Spa was fantastic with a 1 hour traditional Thai massage available for 450THB (around AUD$13.50) – you could get cheaper outside of the resort, however we felt the price was reasonable and the quality of the massage well worth the price.

Shane, the manager of the resort, took the time to introduce himself and make sure we were happy with everything – even offering recommendations on where to eat, what to do should we want to venture out and generally going above and beyond to ensure that our stay was as relaxed and enjoyable as possible. Kudos to him – he and the staff of Samui Buri are a real asset and certainly made our time in Koh Samui enjoyable.

The resort has special offers every day, from tapas & sangria to Asian bbq nights to pizza & cocktails, happy hours and so much more. There’s a shuttle to Chaewang twice a day, but the shuttle fills up quickly, so would probably recommend some additional services during peak periods. There is also a small library available to guests and, supposedly, a 24 hour room service – however we did try and use this service late one night and it had just closed for the evening – maybe just some confusion, but for us, the only negative to our stay since we had just returned from outside the hotel and we were looking for something to eat.

There are a few restaurants and bars outside of the hotel which are worth trying. The Gecko Bar (about 5 minutes walk) was fun for a few drinks, the Luna Hut and Sunshine Gourmet (about 2 minutes from the hotel) for food and the Happy Elephant in Bophut for great BBQ seafood!

Overall, our experience at the Samui Buri Resort was excellent and we would have no hesitation recommending this resort to anyone looking for a quiet location to just relax and enjoy some downtime and true Thai hospitality.

Room Tip: Definitely a pool villa - ask for 3120 as the pool is very private!
