“Beautiful hotel.....perfect getaway!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 March 2012

This hotel is just wonderful......The staff were amazing and only too happy to help with anything that we needed. We stayed as part of a small wedding party (30 people) and usually one would expect there to be a few hiccups along the way with that many people being taken care of at once, but the staff were superbly organised and always happy to help.

Rooms were enormous - some of the biggest standard room sizes I have seen. The rooms were well equipped and we weren't left wanting for anything. Huge bathroom and good sized balcony too. Air con was fantasic and temperature individually controlled to your liking.

Meals were great - Buffet breakfast was included in our package and ample selection to choose from. Usual buffet stuff but always nice & fresh. Egg station recommended. Meals outside these times were tasty but a bit pricy, but still cheap compared to western standards. Lots of little restaurants nearby for cheap local food.

Drinks were normally priced for a hotel. Happy hour at the pool bar was great value. Many delicious cocktails were had during these times!

The pool area was fantastic and plenty of deck chairs around the pool and on the beach to cater for everyone. Umbrellas were always on the ready to provide us with some shade. Staff were always on hand to assist around this area too.

Day spa was absolute heaven - very cheap massages when compared to Australian prices. Cheaper places nearby for massage but well worth the extra $$ to go here. Was amazing!

The wedding we attended was beautiful and every small detail was thought of. I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel if anyone is planning a wedding in Koh Samui. The wedding coordinator had thought of absolutely everything and was there to oversee even the smallest of things to make sure it all ran smoothly. I can't commend them enough on their efforts.

Don't be deterred by the location, it's about a 20 minute drive to Chaweng Beach or the "touristy area" of Samui. If you like to be amongst all the noise and shopping, etc. then this particular hotel might not be for you. But if you want something nice & quiet but still with plenty nearby, this is the place! We hired a moped for 200Baht a day ($7 AUD) and took this into Chaweng when we needed a spot of shopping, etc. Taxi options from the hotel were also cheap and plentiful if mopeds are not your thing.

No complaints at all for this hotel either - no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this to everyone! :o)

Room Tip: Standard Rooms are enormous enough and most offer good views. Swimout rooms are good if you want you...

This hotel is wonderful. The staff cant do enough for you and are always smilling. The rooms are lovely. Large and well designed with spacious balconies. The hotel is right on the beach which is virtually deserted. Lovely white sand, gently shelving into the sea. Restaurant overlooks the sea and serves a very good breakfast with full English and fresh fruit with croissants and pastries. Evening meals are also good with a selection of Thai and European. The pool is large with a swim up bar and lots of room around it for loungers. The hotel has a shuttle bus which takes you to nearby Fishermans Village which has shops and restaurants as well as other places about 3 times a day. We tried the Happy Elephant for a meal in Fishermans village and were pleased with the quality and the price. Although this is a very quiet part of the island there are restaurants nearby. Harrys is just outside the entrance to the hotel and is also very good. There is also a very basic restaurant about half a mile up the beach which serves wonderful Thai (delicious soft shell crab) and a lot of locals go here. The hotel will tell you where to go.
We had an hour long Thai massage on the beach which cost 350 baht (around £70) which was very pleasant and they do pedicures and manicures as well as other sorts of massage. The masseurs are employed by the hotel. There are quite a lot of hawkers on the beach but they are not pushy. A couple arrive on the beach every day just before lunchtime with fresh fruit and sweetcorns, chicken satay etc, which they grill on their mobile barbq which makes a lovely lunch or 50 baht (just over a pound).
Finally the hotel gardens are really nice and are maintained daily by the gardeners.
The hotel is beginning to look a bit worn but they are renovating each building and it doesnt spoil the wonderful ambience. We'll be going back.

Stayed here for 12 nights in February 2012, The hotel building on arrival is breathtaking and the reception is wonderful.
All the staff are very friendly and helpful, The Reception staff are exceptional, nothing was too much trouble
We had a deluxe room which was spacious and cleaned daily to a very high standard, the only complaint i have is the air conditioning is noisy at night so it takes a few nights to tune it out.
The hotel grounds are kept immaculate and very clean.
The Pool area and Beach are immaculate and not overcrowded, sunbed towel's are provided and ice cold towel's are handed out in the afternoon which was a nice touch.
Theres a hotel Golf Buggy which will take you to the local ATM or Mini Mart free of charge which saved walking in the 30 + degree heat, The hotel car is also very reasonable.
Resort drinks/meal prices are as pricey as you would expect but with the first restaurant down the road only a few hundred metres away there is plenty of choice within walking distance and there are many more on the beach or down the road by the hotel + plenty more once you get onto the main road.
An excellent resort in a perfect location
