Recently visited the place with kid. I had visited the place in 2012. In 2012 it was the best home stay... Now its not. This is a place that you can easily avoid staying and look for something better.

Here are the reasons:
- Food: I expected north karnataka traditional specials. But got normal idli and dosa. The food is very normal (good quality) but not tasty. In 2012 they used to make very nice dishes. Now they don't.
- Rooms: Full of dust. Got dust allergy. Its clean but lot of dust. Mostly due to old stuff. Its not a place to stay with Kids.

The place is made commercial and no more a home stay. There is a financial person who is always roaming around with angry face, which spoils the environment. He is mostly worried about spoiling the furniture. Manjunath who is cook and also helper is very friendly.

Its good only for a day's stay and nothing more.

Room Tip: There's dust and mosquitoes ... Careful before choosing the room

Its a nice place to stay when you are visiting Jog falls , The falls is few kilometers away from the property, they have villas too. Food is only veg but tasty , but you can get fish and booze from near by place and enjoy. Must have filter coffee in the morning which they serve !

We stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights. The owner does not stay here. He has a designate who runs the place. He is approachable and can provide detaisl of the places around. Rooms are decent.and Good is good. We hired a cab to visit places around. All the places can be covered in a day. Good only for a day's stay

Mattuga is a very good homestay just 8 Kms before Jog falls. It seems to be a family run business and the rooms are decent and spacious. It serves only vegetarian food and it was simple and homely. We just stayed for 1 day and the experience was pleasant. Recommended for groups as well as families.

It's a good place to stay given the proximity to Jog falls, but it's neither a home stay nor a resort.
The place of stay is between a plantations, maintained well - worth for a day's stay to visit the falls and nearby places.

The food is very simple basic food - tastes good like home cooked food - not worth the cost they charge with the same amount for children too - for dinner no other option available, can plan for others as per your visit plan elsewhere.

The rooms were very well maintained, clean bathrooms and good wood furnitures. We had dinner which was good and breakfast was ok.

We had planned to use the swimming pool which is newly built but was not in a form to use. With farm around 3-4 small frogs keep getting in though they clear it up.

As we had booked at the last minute, we had opted for the rooms. We were allocated one of the 8rooms in the bungalow. As its a common seating area - there is a lot of sound out if the co-guests are a big group and not considerate and supportive when using the common space.

Neat place to stay for a day
