This small hotel is situated in the middle of Fishermen village. The bungalows are situated at the back (really quiet) near a small, but cosy swimming pool. The French owners and their staff make your stay as if you were in your own house. The evening apero is fantastic, because all the residents come together to have a few (sometimes a lot of) drinks. Even when i not stay there, i surely pay a visit to them to say hello.

We spent nearly two weeks drinking and eating our way through the menus. Great, consistent food from a varied menu of local and international dishes, excellent service from some very friendly and engaging staff and all at fair prices. Very laid back place but with efficient service. The views out to sea are terrific.

The only minor downside is that the saltwater pool can get noisy but it is a family resort. Excellent French management maintain high standards and were very friendly to their customers. Highly recommended.

We ate in the small restaurant several times while staying at the Mantra Samui.
We found the staff in restaurant very friendly, the food was very tasty and reasonably priced ( meat dishes 140 baht with rice, and fish dishes 170 baht). I couldn't understand though why they charged 120 baht for garlic rice and only 20 baht for plain rice.
Usually we had the basic meals but on the next to last visit we had pre ordered the Moo Krata, a table pan BBQ. The table was laid out when we arrived with two conical shaped BBQs for the five of us. The underneath the cone contained the charcoal. There was a plate of uncooked prawns, squid, chicken and beef for each of us
Around the conical shape was a depressed lip into which the staff poured a vegetable stock. When it was boiling we had mushrooms, bean sprouts, noodles, peppers to put in, plus soya sauce and this was the accompaniment to the meat and fish, which was cooked on the cone.
The staff checked on us frequently, bringing more stock and soya sauce plus more drinks.
We all agreed that it was the best meal of the holiday, a very social meal, very filling and great fun. Excellent value at 400 baht each plus drinks.

Stopped in at Eden for a lunch and ended up staying and using the pool for a few hours too. The food was very good and fresh. I has breakfast plate while others at the table had panini's and fried rice. Everyone enjoyed their meal and wanted to come back.
I would recommend coming in for a bite to eat.

Passing through the Fisherman's Village Friday night market in Bophut, we stopped at the Eden Bungalows for some food. The eating area was situated behind the bar, just by the pool & accommodation beyond.

It was a very nice atmosphere, & not busy at that point. There were incense coils to keep the mozzies at bay & free Wifi.

The food was good. The menu is not very large (all Thai food), and the portions are not huge, but they day good things come in small packages. The owners seem to run it well, with good English. Though a couple of the staff struggled, we weren't left waiting or wanting.

I tried the beef red curry. It was lovely.
It's a lot cheaper than some of the other eateries in the village, & well worth a visit
