What a fantastic service we all received. From the planning right through to the execution, Debby and her staff excelled in every aspect. The room preparation, the timely service where all guest received their meals togethe and the quality and quantity of the food, where all second to none. My bride, all our guests and myself, where all extremely impressed with the staff and sincerely thank them all for ensuring our day was special.

If you are looking for somewhere other than your pre-designed wedding venues, then take a serious look and have a serious chat with The Saracens Head. From making the decision to use the Saracens for our reception they couldn't have been more helpful. Attention paid to every detail.
On the day, all the staff went out of their way to make ourselves and our guests as welcome and comfortable as possible. (Daytime temperature was around 30°).The food went beyond expectations. Service was at a comfortable speed so as to allow ample time between courses. The evening buffet was quite frankly, huge! Although I only managed to grab a bacon buttie, had good quality meat, as expected.
With regards the rooms, we had the honeymoon suite, obviously, so I feel making comments about the general accommodation will be skewed in their favour. But then having a huge bedroom with the massive four poster may do that! The room was clean and tidy and the on-suite perfect the morning duties.
All friends and family who also stopped that we have talked with have had good things to say about the whole experience.
Definately worth just a visit, even if just for a bar meal and a quick drink.

Couldn't have had a better experience. Beautiful hotel, lovely room with very comfy bed, excellent lounge, bar and outdoor seating in the courtyard. Staff so friendly and absolutely went above and beyond to get me to the wedding I'd come down for. Will definitely be returning.

This is a lovely hotel and full of history. It's in a good location in the middle of the small market town and close to the Minster. It's also a good place to stay after a day at the races. The only downside is that it's very difficult to get a taxi. Apart from though it's a great value place to stay.
