We were welcomed with very jolly and attentive bar staff to this really lovely pub with a great atmosphere, interesting décor with bench seating on long tables, an amazing curved high backed seat for two and even large chair "thrones" that made the occupants feel they were royalty.

The food was certainly fit for a king, Sausage and Chorrizo casserole and a Chicken dish which I cannot remember the name of, as I'm a detester of tomato and this dish had lots.. I'm told it was fabulously scrummy (I'll take their word for it!)
This was an "organised" group so the offered menu was limited but the "Chalk board" had heaps that I'd like to return and try.

Highly recommend a visit, we've been before, but I think this is my first review of it.. The food is always great.

The bar staff really made you feel a valued customer on leaving too :)

Nice welcome, lovely table for three, attentive staff, great service. Lovely mains, bass, crab, Salmon. Wonderful deserts pity there us no cheese board. Nice wine, fab beer. Nothing to complain about even offered the correct gratuity but the landlord was happy just to round the bill up. Love the Queens but then again everyone does.

15th Century Free House - very pretty. Staff very attentive.
Big portIons but would say food is good on this occasion perhaps not very good and not excellent. We had fish cakes, salmon and the lamb. Reasonable value. Would return.

This place puts the chains to shame, excellent food, good beer and wine in a reel Suffolk pub, well worth a visit, quiet unexpectedly good with food available on Sunday evening into the bargain. Charming ambiance.

This is a real gem set in a picturesque Suffolk village. The hosts are very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The menu needed more fish dishes but otherwise a great experience
