Mr Devakant & his entire team is supremely knowledgeable, equipped & committed to make experience at valley of flowers a memorable one.
Strongly recommend anybody wants to go Valley of Flowers, go with Blue Poppy Holidays. It will make your experience significantly superior and satisfactory.
The new tents set up near Helipad gives picturesque backdrop of snow clad mountain peaks and valley in front. The location also avoids passage through crowded village of Ghangharia. The tents are neat and clean with attached let and bath easily comparable to any 3 star Hotels and provide the comfort that one need after trekking for 6 hours. Valley of Flower is much more then flowers and you realise that once the guide (Ratnesh in our case) start explaining the geological events, shows historically extinct plants, pluck the berries with indescribable tests. At night you can see the night sky full of stars you will never experience in the city. In addition to Valley of Flowers & Hemkund track the itinerary included Auli & Gorson which made the whole trip complete and diversified package. Only regret was that we did not plan enough days. One can easily stay for 3-5 days and will still want to do more. Also worth mentioning is a night stay at Ganga Homely stay at Govindghat. The meal prepared by Mr. Sharma and his wife with all ingredients from his local organic garden was a treat which makes you feel like coming back.

Thank you blue poppy for making our short stay so rejuvenating and refreshing.

The site is probably a little more than a kilometre away from the bustling town of Ghangharia. Beautiful unspoilt views from the site, neatly maintained tents, running water and clean surroundings-a definite plus when you want to unwind after a trek. Service and overall quality were excellent when we visited- chai and hot water on demand, and cheerful staff and guides. Additionally, the trek up to the town for breakfast was a good warm-up everyday!

It's new.. The location is best in town .. The staff (Mr. Bhajan and team) excellent and food is surely very good. But biggest negative is it do not have electricity and shockingly no power back up despite being portrayed as Swiss luxury cottages. We stayed there for 3 nights and throughout no electricity. The mgmt. kept wrongly promising us each day despite full knowledge that there will not be any electricity. The facilities inside tent are very average. Consider carefully and can visit only electricity / power back up is available. Else, can be horrible experience.

We are very sorry for the bad experience you had. The poles between Ghangaria and Govindghat were uprooted and whatever information was provided by the electricity department was provided to you. Although we will have power backup using solar power in the next season at least for next season. Although we provided solar lantern but they may not be enough to you. Ghangaria is a place accessible be trekking only and is deep inside the nature, so it has its own positive and negative points. We always provide the camps to our premium clients but unfortunately a big breakdown happened when you came for the trip. Sorry for the inconvenience again.

It has been very recently taken over by the management of Bhagat Hotels of Govindghat and now called Ghagharia camps, initially Sarovar camp. It's more of "Glamping" than "Camping".

All tents with beds, four quits and blankets, chairs, tables, rocking chair, western commode, hot water to wash, bathe and drink, innumerable cups of tea and coffee, electricity, phone, message and great food. What more can you ask for.

Stayed 5 days at the brand new Blue Poppy Swiss cottage tents in Ghangria. Beautifully located in the lap of nature with a view of the helipad. These are nice, spacious and clean tent cottages with attached bath and toilet. All sanitary ware are new. The double bed has comfortable thick mattresses and the linen are of good quality. The floor is insulated with synthetic material. There is a separate tent for having the meals. Each cottage also has a front sitting area where one can sip tea and watch the clouds coming up from the valley and vanishing into the mountains. Some of the other guests were lucky to see wild bears on the hills across the valley clearly visible from the camp. One family in our Group who were staying in a hotel shifted to the cottage after seeing ours. Service from the staff is exemplary as they are eager to please the guests. From all angles, stay in these cottages are far better than any hotel in Ghangria. Recommend to all visitors to book the tents, if available, when visiting Valley of Flowers or Hemkund Saheb.
