Its a beautiful Anglican Church, built in 1872. The Church is surrounded by a Christian Community Muirabad that was built as a colony during the British times. Sir William Muir, who also laid the foundation stone of now the Allahabad University, Muir College, helped to build this Christian Village Muirabad. His wife Elizabeth Muir laid the foundation stone of the St. Peter's Church in Allahabad on 17 May 1872.
