Great property of over 40 acres, private access to a very clean beach, very courtesy hotel staff, hot water is wash room, nice outdoor pool
The food at the resort is very expensive, if you do get a room on first floor there is no lifts, hotel and rooms requires renovation lot of broken switches, old bed and mattress.
Overall good stay for family and kids.
My kids had a great time at the beach and pool.

The resort mentioned it as 4 Start resorts but by the looks it looks like a ordinary or cheap lodge. When you climb to the 1st floor the steps and its cleanliness will itself tell you the story, that much dirty. Room is not so great expect the twin beds. Bed spreads doesn't seem to washed properly. Oh my gosh the rest room is the worst thing. Water stagnation all over the place and closets are meant to be for kids and not for adults. Only the price seems to be 4 star and not any other facilities. The packed fried cashews MRP is 75 rupees whereas they bill it as 275. What is the difference that is made for a packed food where you buy it for 75 and bill it as 275. Is it some kind of looting in the name of 4 star.
The swimming pool is so dirty and we can find green algae formation everything which means that it was not cleaned for months. You will certainly get skin infection if are into it. Breakfast was average and there seems to be marriage reception and the restaurants mostly by them. It's better the resort can consider changing this to a marriage hall instead of a resort.
This resort may be suitable for friends for boozing and staying and certainly not for families with little kids.
I wouldn't suggest anyone to this resort. Believe there would be lot other good resorts nearby with cheaper rates.
Please please never ever consider this resort. Save your money and mental agony.
The best experience of hospitality I have ever encountered. Pugal is the best. Pugal is EXCELLENT. Other honorarable mentions include Ram & Kalidoss. This hotel prides itself in their service and they definitely delivered. I will visit this place again and I won't hesitate to recommend it to anyone who is planning to travel to Chennai. This was our third visit to Chariot. Even there are hundreds of resorts on ECR, ambience and service at Chariot is something that pulls us always here. It was our son's second birthday and we were in touch with Monica to arrange us the best room in resort with a splendid view. Request was well taken care.
Although there was a small technical problem in room, however resort team took care of shifting us to another room in same category in no time. While experience is always a perfect combination of ambience, food and service and Chariot has it all. We are worried we might miss out planning staycations at other resorts given benchmark Chariot.
No hand towel, floor mat, recline chair missing as shown in picture. We have to ask for everything then it is provided. AC not working due to which whole night can't able to sleep. Room is not luxurious at all as compare to tariff they charge. Very old fashion room and bathroom. Food is also not so good as compare to rates. Only good thing is that they have private beach and view from is excellent but hospitality is not good
Myself and my team went out there to spend a day.we all had an amazing experience and a good time. Staff behaviour was excellent and the food was extraordinary. We really want to thanks each and everyone for giving a wonderful time.
