Serenity

In a nutshell, warm hospitality,comfortable stay and a breathtakingly beautiful view of the Kanchenjunga, straight from the room. The rooms were elegant and well heated.The breakfast is wholesome, the staff courteous and obliging. A special mention of Mr. Surajeet at the reception desk is a must. He always went an extra mile to make our stay memorable, guidedus in our local tours, and always had a ready smile. Would also mention Mr. Basudeb at the restaurant. He ensured that the food came piping hot on the table even at sub zero temperatures

Pemayangtse is one of if the most picturesque parts of Sikkim & India and The Elgin Mount Pandim, Pelling was built by the King of Sikkim and is now a leading luxury heritage resort having one of the best locations in India strategically located on a hill top only 40 kms from the Mt Kanchenjunga and other Himalayan ranges,

The property is spread over 15 acres with its own virgin Pine forest and is a bird watcher's paradise too with over 50 varieties of very rare himalayan birds that live on the property premises .

The hotel is everything a nitpicking traveller like myself could ask for. Rooms (we had 2) were clean and comfortable, we had amazing clear views of the Khangchendzonga and the other peaks on all the days there. The staff was helpful and friendly (we arrived late and they called us to ask if we would need dinner - quite sweet!)
Beautifully maintained interiors and gardens. If you are a heritage lover, you will love the reception area, steeped in history with well maintained tibetan artifacts.
Breakfast service is slow and doesn't start on time, a minor hiccup.
The one and rather jarring point - The hotel has two lovely,friendly, feisty samoyeds, it pained us (dog lovers) to see them confined to small place with no toys, and always wearing collars. I would appeal to the management to please improve their conditions and perhaps have someone who loves dogs to care of them

Location is A class
British style
Would love to have a house like this on mountains
Biggest plus is the location and aesthetics
Romantic place
Luxury stay
Food is okay and limited menu. Price is a bit high for the quantity offered

Best view from this comfortable heritage property

Comfortable rooms , heritage property ,best Kanchenjunga view from garden and Mountains facing rooms .Warm welcoming staff .Fantastic place for family or solo travellers . Deluxe rooms & cottage both are available.great property ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Best Option in Pelling

The hotel has retained its royal ambience...Bit costly but worth it. Great ambiance..The common lobby is a great place to relax as is the garden, On a Sunny day, you may hv a great view of Kanchenjungha peaks
