One is surprised upon entering the compound as the entrance is pretty abysmal . If you are driving as I was is not for a non Indian which I am. The staff was excellent and very attentive. The wedding we attended was well served and was lovely. The food in the our door pub and bar was not good. The chicken burger was very small and a few french fries given. We ordered room service and they sent food from the day before I will say it was a copious amount.
The pool needs to be kept free of pigeons who spoil the pool with there feces and offal. The breakfast was very middling for a hotel billed as 5 stars. The breads very poor.
The building retains its old times charm but needs better cleaning and up keep.
It is alot of money for what is presented.

we got good service. good rooms and good food. the staff was always helpful and polite. the place was clean and refreshing. the only reason i am not giving 5 star is that they charged us higher slab of GST in end December although the rates had been revised since october. initially they refused to amend, but on our persistence, they finally charged us the correct lower GST.

Mandawa has been called an ‘open art gallery’ and when you visit the town you can see why. Hand painted frescoes decorate walls both inside and outside the buildings.
The well kept fort has beautiful examples of this.
We stayed in the fort in a luxurious room and enjoyed the warm welcome of all the staff.
The food was delicious and we enjoyed a night cap in the most beautiful of bars
A very special place full of culture and art..
We had a very memorable stay and loved every minute.

BEWARE - This hotel is very hostile towards American & European travelers! I would NOT recommend this place to foreigners.

While visiting Mandawa we were looking for a hotel to stay for two nights and decided to see if this was a good place. Many of the online reviews seemed suspect (aka fake), so rather than book we decided to stop in to see for ourselves prior to booking a room online.

We were essentially harassed by every one of the staff and told we “could not stay here!” by the main person as he said “leave” and “go away” repeatedly. Rooms were available online, but thank goodness we stopped by first to witness the atrocious and hostile environment firsthand.

We were followed and yelled at in Hindi while attempting to get a coffee at the bar. Then told to pay the attendant 250 rupees per person just to enter the restaurant to get served. The discrimination as American and European travelers was very evident.

We found another place close that was very welcoming of foreign travelers. Stay away from this place!!!

It was my wedding anniversary and i wanted to give a surprise to my wife.
I was a bit sceptical initially to go to a heritage property like this but O BOY, i was wrong. This is such a wonderful palace converted into a hotel in 1980. It was built in 1755 and i must say it's so well maintained.
The rooms are super spacious and i also loved the hospitality.
Food was just delicious.
Special shout out to Mr. Virendra Singh Rathore (GM) who arranged a candle light dinner set up at the roof top secluded area with mind blowing set up.
Mr. Shakti Singh was also a great help.
In all, a wonderful & peaceful property to relax.
See the pics and decide yourself.
Thanks!!
