Stayed for two nights in January. Pleasant location opposite the village green and oxburgh hall (NT). Lovely log fire and friendly helpful staff. Courtyard room was ideal with a dog with wooden floor and direct access from the driveway. Comfy bed. Downside was the people in the room next to us who kept their dogs in the landrover which they reversed up to the door so that every time the dogs barked in the night they could yell loudly at them. I would stay there again but make sure people at a shoot weren't staying next door! Breakfast was not included and expensive at £9.50 if you wanted cooked

Dear Susan H

Thank you for taking the trouble to write about your recent stay with us.

We have taken on board your comments and would agree totally. Most people staying with us, on a shoot or not - have well behaved dogs to match the owners good behaviour. It seems sadly this was not the case for either party. We will remind guests staying to respect others staying.

Breakfast is not included as quite often guests leave early for a meeting/work and prefer the choice. A full freshly cooked breakfast with the full works is usually considered excellent value so I am surprised by your thoughts on this. Again we shall look at nearby Inns and compare value and quality.

I am so glad you appreciate a lovely log fire and indeed friendly helpful staff.

We look forward to welcoming you back.

Best wishes

Although a little out of the way, well worth a visit if you are after something different. The menu is not your usual pub fare but very good indeed. Staff make you feel very welcome. Something a little special!

Lovely village pub , located right next to Oxburgh Hall. Lovely bar with an open fire ,and comfy sofas. Bar staff all very friendly and helpful. Nice selection of ales, good wines. Plenty of seating in the restaurant areas, but I get the impression it is best to book as the dining rooms got busy quickly, a good sign . Had a drink in the bar area 1st , and was then directed to our table for lunch. Would say the plates that were being brought out the food all looked very nice and well presented, customers certainly looked like they were pleased.

We both opted for the luxury fish pie , which if I'm totally honest was a little disappointing, personally i wouldn't describe as luxurious. Having said that , the food that was being served to the other customers all looked very good and generous. I would definitely return to this charming country pub.

We have visited the Bedingfield Arms on a number of occasions and it has always been a lovely place to visit. The food is excellent the service friendly and efficient and the bar is stocked with a wide variety of beers, wines ans spirits. The have a number of draught ales, lagers and ciders as well as a huge selection of spirits. The inn is set on the village green in Oxborough only a stones throw from the National Trust's Oxburgh Hall which is well worth a visit. There is a nice pub garden and the interior of the inn is nicely furnished with some sofas and a lovely fireplace for a relaxed drink as well as the restaurant areas. The manager is charming and often comes over for a chat which is very refreshing and a rarity these days. Well worth a look in its own right but also in conjunction a visit to Oxburgh Hall.

We had a late Saturday night booking just before Christmas. A warm welcome at the bar, literally, warm open fire & cheery bar staff. The menu was varied & plenty of choices, a little fussy for me, but my wife & friends were very happy. What we had was well presented, very tasty. The service was excellent, nothing too much trouble, even the bar staff ensured we were happy with the meal. A little bit on the pricey side, bit it was a special occasion.

Dear stephen_manney56

I am catching up with my review responses! Thank you for writing about your visit here last year...now.

So glad you a great visit and I note you mention the price aspect of your visit - well, as you say it was a special occasion and this is what I emphasise to all my staff - how in most cases, our guests are being treated or treating themselves for a personal special occasion and to ensure that we try our utmost to make the occasion extra special as much as possible without going overboard. Low key but attentive in every way.

Thank you for posting this review.

Time for another visit!

Best wishes
