Booked a room overlooking the rice terraces and we were not disappointed. Even though the room is quite small, the view made up for it. And you can spend most of your time at the restaurant on the ground floor, where it's fairly spacious with great view too - that was exactly what we did! We had all our meals there, and we absolutely enjoyed it. Order their local delicacies (like bamboo rice, local made bacon with bamboo shoots, wild green vegetables, etc), it's yummy! This is a place I'll definitely like to come back again, highly recommended.
p.s. However, if you are not good in handling stairs, this will not be the place for you because there are quite a number of stairs/steps for you to hike up before you can even catch a glimpse of the hotel. By the time I walked up all the stairs and reached the hotel, you can't imagine how glad I am, luckily it was all worth it! (That was why I posted a pic of their local beer, because that was my reward for climbing the hundreds steps!)

Lovely characterful hotel in the heart of the village. A walk from the car park but nothing too arduous if you offload most of your luggage. Great access to the rice terrace views. Nice rooms with good views, helpful staff and really good food. Well worth a visit.

Great views if you ask for a room overlooking the terraces. The rooms are quite small, but this is not the kind of destination where you will be looking to spend too much time in your room. Our room had aircon.

The hotel serves very nice food - bamboo rice is a local speciality and they do a good one here.

The staff are very helpful and keen to assist in planning walks through the terraces and helping with onward transport logistics. There are walks in the terraces of varying length from an hour or two to a full day. The hotel provided a simple map.

As with the other hotels in this village, there is no direct road access. You can drive as far as the local parking lot from where it is a ten to fifteen minute walk up steps. There are lots of people who will offer to carry your bags for a small cost.

First of all, Ping'an Village is one of the coolest places I've ever had the pleasure of visiting and the views from all around were totally breath taking!

The Long Ji One Hotel was the perfect place to stay whilst we were here! Although on the pricier side, we stayed in the Deluxe Double room but i guarantee it is worth every penny. Our room was at the corner of the hotel with a massive window next to our bed looking out onto the rice terraces and a balcony looking out onto the terraces, village and the hills beyond. At night time it was amazing to be out on the balcony with some wine and star gaze! We also purposefully left our curtains open even though we knew the sun would rise pretty early and probably also wake us, so we could be woken to an amazing view, which it certainly was.

The hotel itself is very cute with wooden furnishings and felt very cosy which somehow still worked even in the middle of summer when it was very warm. A very relaxing place to be after tiring days of walking and exploring, and the bed and pillows were also very comfortable. The staff were also very nice and polite and made us feel welcome upon arrival.

Only complaint would be that because the building is made out of wood the floors can be very noisy. I think we were placed under a family suite because we could hear many footsteps and voices from above. It didn't bother us too much but I would suggest if you are a light sleeper or get annoyed by those kinds of things easily, bring some ear plugs. But i would like to point out, basically all the buildings in the village are built this way so my guess is that it happens everywhere.

What a beautiful hotel. The standard is high and rooms are cleaned and serviced every day (not always done in China). Our twin room did not have a view of the rice terraces, but it did not matter as the view from the restaurant ( with really tasty food) is wonderful. I think the double rooms have the view. Be warned that the local cockeral does wake up at three in the morning to call to his friends in the village. Also, while we were there, we think a pig was slaughtered in the early morning. If you can put up with rural life, this is the place to stay. Great service too.
