The place is situated at a distance of about 15 KM beyond Lonawala. if you are going from Mumbai. The way is very scenic and beautiful. there are a lot of serpentine turns across mountain ranges and quiet a few wind mills around the area. once you reach pavana lake there are few restaurants which are on the edge of the river and one of them even has water sports/boating facility. all in all a very nice experience.

Pavana lake is worth visiting for nature lovers. The only negative point is that its a long drive and not everyone is aware of this place but when you reach there you forget how tired you were. The peacock is the main attraction there. There is boating as well. It is a visual treat and a scenic spot for the photographers. There is only one restaurant there but the food served is amazing.

It's quite n serene lake. No boating or any other activity was spotted at the time of my visit. I looked at it for 4 days from the window of my room at Lake Pavana resort. The serenity is spellbound. I would guess monsoon would be a good time to gaze at the lake from the room.

The lake is quite beautiful and there are boating options available. The food options are limited. Advisable to visit the place in the rainy season and that too on weekdays to avoid the mad traffic heading to the place.
