We planned to go with trekking orgniser group who generally schedule and plan such events and charge per person cost and they take care of rest (except your cloths and packing :P)
Our journey started from CST Mumbai and we vtook Chennai mail at 11:45 PM and reached Lonavala by 3:00 (train was late by an hour, thanks to Indian railway ) then took rest at Lonavala depot canteen had some breakfast and started our trekking from Lonavala at 5 AM.
Total distance was 17 km and it took 8 hours to reach base village 'Udhewadi' at 1PM where we took rest in local villager mud made home for next 2-3 hours.

1.) Manranjan - On same day we got up at 5 PM had some tea then started our first fort i.e. Manranjan fort, relatively easy to trek and it took 2 hours to complete scenery and returned to base village. it had some water storage tanks which are build for maratha worriers (We drank that water and our so called packaged drinking water is nothing in front of such pure natural water). View is pretty amazing from there.
We came back in the evening by 7:00 PM but it was still not dark, lights were good to come back. We stayed back in village and had food made by locals it was real authentic food and we all loved it.

2.) Rajmachi (Shrivardhan) - Next day we go up late around 7:00 AM due to 17 KM trek and Manranjan fort trek. had some breakfast and tea (note - no need for bath :P as we already had bath in rains and will be during trek)
When we started Shrivardhan trek it seems its a piece of cake in the beginning as it had stone made steps till temple but after that the real trek started it was difficult but manageable even for beginners. fort is bigger as compare to Manranhan fort.
We really enjoyed scenery from there and clicked lot of pics.
Then we came back to base village had some breakfast then started coming back.

We started to return back from Karjat side of mountains which was real difficult as having steep sloop where we have to carefully come down and for us it took 4 hours to reach below from where we took tempo to reach Karjat station then back home.

Verdict - If you are fit and fine then only take above trekking else it will be very difficult. But go to place for trek lover and nature lover.

We had stayed at a night camp and the next morning we headed for the fort. Owing to the bad condition of the road, it took us around 4 hrs to reach the fort, The fort has awesome views of lush greenery all around and in a mildly cold monsoon weather, you can also treat yourself to awesome food cooked by the locals. It is advisable to carry extra pair of clothes and socks if you are going in the rainy season.

Roads are not in good conditions although Worth a visit. Local villagers are with golden heart 10/10 for hospitality
