“Saputara - A nice Picnic place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 March 2010

Place :- Saputara Hill Station
Saputara is a beautiful and a densely wooded only hill station town situated in the "Dang" district of south Gujarat, India.Saputara has been constructed as a well planned hill station having all necessary serviceableness.

There are some worth-watching places to enjoy your holiday in Saputara town. Saputara Lake is one of those places where you can breathe unpolluted air while enjoying your holiday out of the hustle and bustle of polluted city life. Those lookout places or places of interest are: Ropeway, Sunset Point, Sunrise Point, Boating Club, Museum, Step Garden, Rose Garden, Honey Bees Centre, Echo Point, Lake View Garden, Snake of Saputara etc.

Saputara has a uniform weather all the year. The temperature goes up to as high as 28 c during the summers thus making it the ideal place to spend the summers. One can visit Saputara all year the round.Best time to visit Saputara is from the middle of the march to the November.

“Saputara - Heaven in Maharastra”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 March 2010

Saputara is situated at the southern point of Gujarat, abutting the border of Maharashtra just 5 km from Saputara. In actual, Saputara (Dangs) is perched atop the Sahyadri Hills in the state of Gujarat.
Saputara’s twin air connectivity is provided by Surat and Mumbai. Saputara is 205Km away from Surat Airport and 248km away from Mumbai Airport. These 2 cities are the nearest city which provide air connectivity to the place. Nasik Railway Station is the nearest located rail strip to Saputara.

Places that can be visited at the hill stations are:

Sapuara Lake, Saputara Gardens, Saputara Museum, Nageshwar Mahadev Temple, Forest Loghuts, Echo Point, Hatgadh Fort, The Snake Sculpture, Townview Point, Valley View Point.

The best time to visit is Mid of monsoon i.e. from August to December.

This is like Kashmir of Maharatsra

“A nice hill station to heal your fatigue”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 November 2008

Friend this one is very useful specially to the people in south gujarat and mumbai around as bothway its in middle of them.

Its basically not a hill station to called upon as same is not on the great hight but again it is very near to civilised area and specially for Suratis and other Gujjus like me who are looking for a hangout trip for friends to get chilled with babes and beer than this place to go.

Best time to visit is late if monsoon and peak of winter. (I know that it is ironic but..)

Avoid planning in peak monsoon and any of summer time as it will certainilly spoil your trip.

“The Great Hill Station near Surat”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 November 2008

Saputara is a great place for people who like hill stations and live in Gujarat. The mountains, the river, the water falls, the visit points, beauty of nature, the museum, the rope way, the children park, the lake and boating, the food, the sweets, the atmosphere, the roads etc etc. there are lots of other things which i cannot describe but a visit to Saputara is worth.

Winter is the best season to go Saputara.

There are many good Hotels there in Saputara where you can stay and have your meals. The prices are also reasonable.

I recommend this place. Thanks.
