Pros:
# Neat, clean and well ventilated rooms
# Friendly and cooperative staff
# Super quick room service
# Centrally located from all major sight seeings spots (hardly 3 or 4)

Cons:
# In a place where winter temps hover around 13 degrees C, they use a solar water heating system.....so you hardly get any hot water for a bath.
# The restaurant leaves a lot to be desired with food being of poor quality.
# Don't ever go in for the European Plan (All food included in the package). You will regret it!
# The only WiFi available is in the lobby and that too is very erratic in operation.

Room tip: Choose the lake side view rooms on the upper floor (its a 1 floor hotel). The view of the placid lake, when you wake up, is calming

The resort touches the lake and offers scenic views of the locale. Rooms are spacious, have attached balcony and are well maintained. Staff is friendly. Local attractions are close-by. The attached restaurant offers basic meal options. Gujarati thali was decent. Overall, had a really pleasant stay.

It was an awesome stay at Shavshanti lake resort. To begin with rooms are with lake view, superb location lake kissing resort. Rooms are big and with balcony. Every staff right from restaurant manager, housekeeping guys and at the reception Mr Raja are very helpful and co-operative. Service was prompt and rooms clean. Activity room needs little improvement, pool is small but clean. Stayed from 14 to 17 Dec-17. Would highly recommend. Had memorable stay at Shavshanti lake resort would visit again.

Room tip: First floor with Lake view

The title says it all – this resort is the only place which “kisses the lake” (as per its brochure) as against a few others which only face the lake. On top of it you have very reasonable prices especially in the off-season plus a wonderful vegetarian restaurant with good service and you have a complete package for an exhilarating holiday. In the monsoon (when we visited), one can spend hours looking at the lake from the first floor balcony of the room and watch the mist moving in fast reducing visibility to a minimum and again moving away to reveal the waters. The staff is also polite catering to your needs. One can even have food served in the room subject to certain time restrictions. There is a small swimming pool (closed during our visit) and open space with tables and chairs where one can have food served subject to the weather. We had stayed in the Savshanti Hill Resort in Sept. 2014 (review already there in Trip Advisor) which is across the road and at a slightly higher location and this Lake Resort is even better as the rooms are more spacious plus the restaurant is adjoining it.

Room tip: Go for rooms on the first floor as compared to ground floor where the noise levels would be high plus the view from higher up is better
